Your holiday at Hacienda 18 begins with a transfer from the Punta Cana international airport, private check-in at the villa and a welcome fruit basket. The villa stretches out alongside a terrace and pool with views of the golf course. Recline in one of the lounge chairs under an umbrella or settle into the covered sitting and dining areas. Heat up the barbecue for an al-fresco dinner or unwind inside to the strains of a favorite album on the sound system.
Inside the hacienda, an open-plan layout, vaulted ceilings and dark wood trim give a spacious, Asian-inspired feel. Squared-off sofas and inlaid tables in the sitting area are both intriguing and inviting, and graceful cane chairs in the dining area can seat ten. The fully equipped kitchen has both state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances and vibrant traditional blue and white tiles.
The main house at Villa Tranquila - Hacienda 18 has one bedroom, and there are three in the guest house; all have en-suite bathrooms. The main-house bedroom and one of the guest-house bedrooms have two queen beds each, and the other two guest-house rooms have king beds. Colorful feature walls, bright fabrics and dark wood furnishings give the bedrooms the same look of refined Caribbean luxury as the common living areas.
Ideally situated for a family vacation, warm-weather honeymoon or once-in-a-lifetime golf getaway, the villa is a 15-minute golf-cart ride or less from La Cana beach club, two golf courses, tennis courts and the spa. Be sure to visit the nearby Ojos Indigenas park and reserve for an ATV ride through the lush landscape or a swim in one of several freshwater lagoons.
