Forest face lodge was exactly as described. A cozy place with a view of the nearby river, which you can also hear at all times. The staff was very friendly and accommodated to all our needs. You just have to accept that it takes about 15min by Tuktuk to get to Kandy city center.

The team were amazing! Extremely kind and very much made us feel welcome. The location was beautiful and even with the rainy weather, we loved seeing it roll over the hills! The bed was comfy and the cold plunge bath was a great addition. There are a few ants (expected in nature) if you don’t disturb them and don’t eat sweet food in the room, they pay no attention! We loved it and would definitely come back!

We were completely happy with the place. The view from the balcony is wonderful, especially in the evening when you should take the time to look at the starry sky! The communication with Dominic's girlfriend was very great: helpful, friendly and always available. We celebrated a birthday here and when preparing a small surprise, the entire team was always on hand and supported me in every wish, thank you very much again! If you are looking for a quiet accommodation, a little away from the hustle and bustle of the city and are looking for a great view, I can highly recommend this accommodation. A tiny hack is the shower, there is an extra connection for the hot water and you can not always optimally set the desired temperature, but for us that was a small problem. We were happy all around.

Absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Villa Joy! We're a Dutch couple and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The scenic tuktuk ride through tea fields (booked via Villa Joy) was bumpy at the end, but totally worth it — the mountain views are breathtaking. Waking up to birdsong and coffee on the terrace felt magical. The cooking class with Sakura and her warm team was a true highlight — fun, hands-on, and super tasty! The room was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with flowers. Excellent communication before and during our stay made everything easy. We left feeling recharged and cared for. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise!

We had an unforgettable time in the cubes at Hideout! The accommodation is truly something special - with its glamping character and the unique view of the Nine Arch Bridge, it is simply fantastic. Waking up to this view every morning was a real highlight. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful – you immediately feel welcome, and every wish is really fulfilled. Whether tips on the surroundings, food or transport: everything is taken care of! A small note: The accommodation is a bit off the beaten path, so you can't walk directly to Ella town. Normal taxis can't get up the narrow street either - but the host can arrange a tuk-tuk driver at any time to take you reliably. Recommendation for all those who are looking for nature, peace and something special!

Aroshi is such a nice host, always saying yes to our requests. Suggested lovely restaurants in the area that we went to and they were great! The house is beautiful, nature is lovely. The only bad thing about this place is it’s a little hard to reach. You can only get there by tuktuks, and not all tuktuks can make the uphill. We were lucky also because her dog had puppies and it was super adorable experience. Also expect some spiders and insects since it is in the middle of the forest, but not much. Thank you!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! We have never had such exceptionally friendly and warm hosts before. VJ and Tilia are unique, helpful, friendly, communicative, fun and made us feel very good and welcome. Individual wishes of our son were fulfilled and we can absolutely recommend this place. It is about 10 min TukTuk Ride from Ella. Below Ella Rock and across the street from Little Adams Peak. Nearby are great waterfalls for swimming and VJ drove us there with his new TukTuk. Breakfast was so rich that we always got a 'take away‘ box filled and had delicious snacks for the day. There was a delicious welcome tea overlooking the Ella Gap. Highly recommended again at any time.
