Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lubowa

We stayed at Katie’s place for a couple weeks and it felt like home away from home as we used to live in this area of Kampala. It was clean and comfortable. The upstairs and downstairs verandahs were both very nice, with a beautiful view of the city from the top one. The co-host Candice was the best Airbnb host ever! She answered all my questions and was super flexible with me when we needed extra help. Sam and Isaak, the guards, were helpful and friendly as well as Sarah who came to clean throughout our stay.

A great stay. Perfect place located in one of the residential areas of Kampala, a very good neighbor. Well secured apartment, we felt completely safe. Clean, well-equipped and modern apartment. Good customer service. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back. very nice experience. heart cost. I recommend it.

Great place and Edd is a great host. The airstrip can be a bit busy and noisy in the very early hours of the day, if an event takes place. The location is super central, pleasant and has all amenities. We had a great 3 months with a family of 4.

Ashraf's place is as displayed. Very clean and comfortable. The host was kind to let me checkin early and there was care taker on stand by to help with anything. Definately a rebook when in Kampala next.

Our experience was absolutely fantastic, and I cannot thank the Musiimentas enough for being such incredible hosts. They stayed in touch throughout our visit, frequently checking in to ensure we were comfortable and accommodating any needs we had with great flexibility. Their hospitality truly enhanced our stay. The property was beyond perfect for our group. It effortlessly accommodated all seven of us, providing ample rooms and parking space. Additionally, the location was ideal. We found ourselves conveniently close to city attractions while enjoying the safety and tranquility of the area. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend The Mbuya Residence to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. Thank you once again for everything!

My family and throughly enjoyed our stay at Carolyn and Junior’s house! The house was so spacious and comfortable for my family and I. And we absolutely fell in love with Mr. Steven, Mr. Dickson, Ms. Barbara, and Ms. Judith! They are wonderful and very helpful and attentive. The host were very welcoming and helpful, we had a little hiccup and they were there to make sure matters were solved and in a timely manner. We were sad to have to leave as this place really started feeling like home. I definitely recommend this house 100%

Everything is perfect, clean and tidy house, well furnished, great hot water, there is security at the gate and a lady who manages the cleaning. I also had very quick laundry service. The lady showed me a trusted driver and restaurants. The only negative note was missing the soap in the house but I was told in advance. There is a mosque nearby that calls for very noisy prayer at night and many dogs barking, but of course the host can't do anything about it and in Uganda they are commonplace.

We had a lovely stay in the apartment. The views are amazing and the pool was lovely. Robbie was very helpful, as were the staff in the compound, and the dogs were very friendly. Just a couple of things to note are that access to the property is via a very steep hill, so you need to be fit if you don’t have your own car as most Uber drivers preferred to drop us at the top of the hill and we then walked down to the property, and we would also meet drivers at the top. Also, the veranda was lovely but had a steep drop down to concrete below, so we needed to be vigilant with our child at all times. We had a lovely stay regardless, just important things to be aware of :)

Alvin communicated well from the moment I was considering his apartment until when I left.He got on the phone to give guidance on how to arrive at the apartment when the driver was lost. He put a lot in the apartment and it's exactly as it is and even better (if I can say so). He also ensure that I had everything, even went out to make a last minute purchase to achieve this. He had Dennis (the caretaker) available to support as needed as well and it was easy to gain access to the apartment. I would absolutely stay here whenever I am in town and I would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely Airbnb from May 18th to May 31st, 2025, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable and comforting stays I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the space felt warm, welcoming, and incredibly homey like a place you’ve known forever. The apartment was beautifully maintained and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing and seamless stay. Derrick and Charlly were absolutely amazing. was kind, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. Hospitality went above and beyond, and it made all the difference. I also want to extend heartfelt thanks to the caretaker, whose quiet presence and diligent care helped keep everything running smoothly. Together, they created a truly welcoming atmosphere. I really wouldn’t review because I would want to keep it a secret, but the place is great. I believe I also got a discount from the normal rate. I had to switch Airbnb locations in the middle of the night and it went smoothly and quickly.

Our stay with Janat was amazing! It was a bit tricky to find as the building itself is not labelled however we were able to communicate with Janat and she was very helpful and quick to respond. The apartment was beautiful and clean. Amenities worked such as hot water, wifi, washer, fridge etc. the building is gated with a gateman watching over. 5/5 stars! Thank you Janat for all your fast responses and willingness to help out where needed. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

An amazing apartment with an absolutely breathtaking view over Lake Victoria and the hills of Kampala! The apartment interior is lovely and contains everything you need. It’s located in a quiet street, which makes it easy to walk during the day. Zach was very responsive and caring. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Kampala:)

Overall great stay, would highly recommend anyone visiting Kampala area to stay in this place. In the pictures, there is no dining table so I asked for one. But when I reached the place, I was surprised to find that Geofrey had a table already placed upon my request. Would definitely come back!

Veronica’s place was amazing. Truly worth every penny. And she is super responsive and very understanding and accommodating. I’d stay here again the next time I visit the pearl of Africa.

Pearl is such a great host. She was there to welcome us at check-in & say bye to us as we checked out. She was always ready to repaond to any questions or requests. Pearl is friendly, knowledgeable & professional. I highly recommend her & I will work with her again.

Jackline the host was very responsive and made it super easy for me. The apartment is well furnished and pristine clean. I was especially relieved to learn that it had air con given how humid Kampala was in February. Definitely worth the value.

The caretaker wast not okay in the beginning because he didn’t want to be asked for anything and he made comments when we asked him anything in the house, but at the end after speaking to him and Sophie.The attitude changed and we had a present time. I would want to personally say thanks to Sophie because and the end. We had an amazing time at the apartment and the caretaker knew what he made wrong and he improved and we want to stay at Sophie’s apartment again. We had an amazingly time. Thank you Sophie for being an amazing host.

Ashley is the host you hardly forget about even after leaving her place -a beautiful human-. She ensured we had a pleasant stay at her place, welcoming us in person, ushering us into the apartment and providing recommendations on activities and restaurants to visit. She was proactive and always available to respond to our queries. The apartment looks same as in the pictures. The kitchen is well equipped and this really helped as we prefer to eat home cooked food. Everything was clean and neat. It will definitely be our choice next time we return to Kampala.

I like this place. it's spacious, luminous, and close to shops and restaurants. it's a quite place and the swimming pool is an added plus to entertain children during the weekend. The apartment very clean and the host very responsive
