Cottage holiday rentals in Lubec

This was our first time visiting Grand Manan, and after our stay at Alex's place, it certainly won't be our last!! right from booking, Alex was very responsive, with local recommendations, to even calling to see about Kayaking for us. Our stay was during the off season in Grand Manan and the weather for 2 of the 3 days was less then ideal, but we still managed to get around and visit some local spots. This airbnb is located maybe 5/10 mins from the Ferry, making it very convenient, close to a convenient store as well as their local Independent grocery store. There are a few games provided as well as binoculars !( witch came in handy when we seen whales in the bay out back !! ), The hot tub was immaculate and was a great way to keep the serenity after a peaceful day of exploring. We will most definitely be back, especially once the hustle and bustle of touriat season comes around ! if your looking for a place to stay, we definitely recommend Alex's place ! I’m not one for taking a lot of time to write a review, but this place is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Clean, beautiful, peaceful, private, and the attention to details is amazing. More than we ever expected, this place is amazing!

What a beautiful location , rich in history. The grounds are amazing with lots to do including walking trails. The receptionist was very friendly and took the time to give us a detailed explanation of where we were staying and where all the amenities were located. The breakfast was very good and the location is central to many attractions. Loved we could visit with our two dogs . I would certainly stay here again.

The cottage was a very peaceful and private place with beautiful views. My husband and I greatly enjoyed the relaxing setting and hot tub. I was able to read on the beach that looks out on the bay. It was great to also be so close to two towns with plenty to do and plenty of restaurants. Highly recommend the cottage for a relaxing place to stay.

What a beautiful spot! My siblings and I had an amazing stay and highly recommend checking out this piece of paradise! To be back on Lake Utopia after 15 years has been so memorable! We are so fortunate to stay on the same lake that we grew up on and visited every summer. This incredible space was absolutely stunning. Thank you Catherine! We will definitely be back!

we loved our stay, it was a beautiful space, really did well with details, loved that the bathroom was high end, they didn't spare on appliances and decor, which was one of the first things we noticed, loved the space and really enjoyed our stay.

Alie is attentive to her emails, responds quickly. Place was immaculate, beds vey comfortable. Enjoyed the privacy, just what we wanted.

We stayed here for six nights over the Christmas holiday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The peace and serenity we felt during our stay were absolutely surreal. The property is stunning, and it provided the perfect escape for us to relax and recharge. The neighbors, Rose and Robert, were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the hosts, Mark and Michelle, went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made this stay special. We can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with amazing people nearby, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

Picturesque view with lobster boats, the pier and the ocean. Quiet mornings watching the sunrise and lobster boats going out was relaxing. Having Chippman’s Wharf down the road was an added bonus for fresh fish. Nice location!

This was our second time staying in Colleens cottage, neither time did we want to leave. The setting is absolutely beautiful right on the ocean the view from the dining room table is out of this world the kind of thing Bob Ross dreamed about. The cottage is nice and cozy with nice amenities considering it's location which is a little off the beaten path. Perhaps it's not the Ritz Carlton but that's not what you're looking for when you book a cottage on the ocean in Maine. I really can't think of any negatives to booking here. The cottage has an outdoor cedar shower which we were concerned about before we booked the first time but we actually ended up finding it quite nice even during 45 degree mornings on this trip. Colleen is wonderful, she's super friendly, always quickly replies to messages. Even a year out from our booking she was quick to reply to any questions we had. She's also a dachshund lover which makes her an extra step above in our book. If you've landed here just book it.

Kurt’s place is always an awesome stay. The wood burning stove makes it really comfy. The views are amazing, truly. Remote, private, peaceful.

Kate’s property is amazing! It’s on the end of a gravel road, so it’s very private (It’s literally in the woods). The second we walked through the door we were blown away. Huge picture windows showing off the beautiful view of Orange Lake. The cabin itself was spotless. So clean and bright. It has a covered deck and an enclosed porch perfect for sitting and enjoying the views. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Plus the grill outside (we only used it once because it was cold and windy)The heat kept the place toasty warm and the shower was nice and hot. The beds were comfy! The WiFi worked great and there was even a smart tv with all the streaming services. All the comforts of home. We didn’t have any major issues but any small questions we had, Kate was very quick to respond. The dogs loved walking around the area, which consisted of dirt and gravel roads, so no traffic. Definitely an 11/10! We plan on returning!

Tracy’s Maces Bay home was exactly that! A very comfortable and “feel right at home” home. It was stocked with amenities including all types of coffee and tea, which are often not found. The refurbished bathroom is beautiful as well as the sunroom. The view of the tides going in and out is amazing. Tracy was a great hostess and accommodated a great stay at very short notice. We also enjoyed the deer in the yard. A trip to St John’s to see the reversing falls was interesting, as well as eating lobster and wild blueberries nearby.

We just spent 5 nights at this absolutely gorgeous cottage, and it far exceeded our expectations on EVERY level! We were absolutely blown away by the spotless cottage, beautiful high quality furnishings and bedding, and the most EPIC views we have EVER seen! We were mesmerized the entire time. From the stunning sunsets at the many seating areas, to the gorgeous private beach, there truly are no words to accurately convey how incredible this space is. We had deer visit us many times a day, and had so much fun watching the tide come in and out, looking for sea glass and watching the amazing salmon farms. This is our first trip to the East Coast and know this stay will be the highlight of our whole trip. Jennifer was so kind and accommodating, and we are incredibly grateful to have stayed at this stunning cottage. I can't recommend more highly! Thank you SO much Jennifer. If we are ever in New Brunswick again we will absolutely be back! Wishing you all the very best. ❤️

Thank you Bill and Teresa for a great stay! For a rustic little cabin, this was spotless. Very clean and very well equipped with cooking utensils, clean fridge, etc. I'd suggest getting groceries in Calais or Eastport if planning to utilize the kitchen amenities as the area does not have a grocery store. The bed was super comfortable, the mattress being so comfy. Felt like memory foam. We had a great sleep after attending the Piratefest in Eastport. Cabin#7 is up on a hill and the breeze was nice and cool, and did I say QUIET? Most peaceful. Lots of fun fishing the pond for pickerel, using the complementary rowboat on the pond, and canoe for the river. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a rustic cabin experience. Once again, the place was very clean.

One of the best places we have ever stayed, with one of the best hosts. The home is thoughtful and peaceful, Arnold and his wife have done a beautiful job at cultivating a relaxing and restful environment. The scenery and area is amazing, perfect central location for exploring lots of different parts of Maine, or the house/land is good enough for a trip where you just stay in for a week. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, hope to be back sooner than later.

Our family had a great time during our visit at Darcy’s air bnb. We LOVED the private beach. We spent most of our time either walking the beach or relaxing by the little fire pit making s’more’s with the kids. We would recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely stay again.

An adorable little cottage with stunning views of the bay. It was so cozy and the living room sunrise views were amazing. Alicia was friendly and welcoming and is the reason we got to see the northern lights! She texted to let us know they were visible not 10 min after we arrived. 10/10 would stay again!

Our entire vacation was ruined. We spent a week touring NB and PEI and never again experienced the level of serenity and hospitality that we enjoyed at Debbie & Neil’s. The home was immaculate, and Neil took the time to show us around even though we arrived later than expected. Upon leaving, we instantly regretted not booking the place for the entire week (though it likely wasn’t available). We are already looking for an excuse to come back and spend some quality time in L’Etete and with Debbie and Neil.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect and the view spectacular. Highly recommend a stay in this great place.

This was a beautiful stay! The description and the photos are highly accurate. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and allow for contemplation and rest for the soul. The fire pit and deck were both greatly enjoyed and the beautiful beach and ocean views never failed to stun. Sunrises were superlative and the indoor swing chair was well loved. Bedding was spotless and the mattress and pillows luxuriously comfortable. The host was responsive and booking and follow up was seamless. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and it is highly recommended. We hope to return.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible Airbnb. We can't recommend Hollie's cottage enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views. Each morning, we woke up to breathtaking sunrises that set the perfect tone for the day. The location is unbeatable—tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. We loved being able to explore the area while still having a tranquil retreat to. The property itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It felt like a home away from home, with thoughtful touches and all the amenities we could need. Hollie was welcoming and responsive, ensuring that our stay was seamless. Overall, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations in every way. We can't wait to return for a longer stay! Like other reviews, we also recommend Jonesport Pizza. Both, staff AND customers made it a very welcoming place. Great for breakfast, too!
