Monthly Rentals in Lubbers Quarters Cay

Ruma Kami is a great place to stay for a couple. Don was a great host. He met us at dock and helped with our luggage and getting us to house. He gave great restaurant recommendations. He even surprised us with a bottle of champagne as we were celebrating our anniversary while there! If you are planning on a longer stay, and prefer to cook/eat at home, plan on shopping every few days as refrigerator/freezer are very small. The rest of the kitchen is well equipped with 2 burner stove, small microwave and small toaster oven. There is also a very nice grill on the deck. The bed was very, very comfortable. Plenty of towels and beach towels were provided. It was clean and quiet. We used the community dock for sunbathing and swimming which was a nice bonus! We definitely had a great stay at Ruma Kami.

We had an incredible stay at Tucked In on Abaco Island! The house was wonderful—clean, well-designed, and surrounded by stunning water views in every direction. It felt like the perfect island escape. Our host, Matt, was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and full of great tips and local recommendations that enhanced the trip. Whether we were relaxing at the house, exploring the island, or just soaking in the views, everything about this stay was memorable. I would 100% recommend Tucked In to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway in the Bahamas. We can’t wait to return!

It's an unbeatable location. The view outside the slider door looks fake, but it is so perfect. It's a quiet area of the island but a 3-minute walk to the Abaco Inn for breakfast, dinner, or drinks. Be sure to reserve a golf cart ahead of time. There's lots to see on the gorgeous island. Jon's place has a full-size refrigerator and light cooking amenities, but getting to and from the market with water, etc., will require that golf cart. If you're a laid-back person or couple, this spot is ideal. You can lounge on the porch or stroll the beach, disconnect, and relax in paradise. The bed is comfortable, the place is clean. However, if you are a high-maintenance human that needs to be connected to reliable internet and perfect cooling temperatures, this is not the place for you.

The house is stunning, in a wonderful location. Lubbers is a remote little island and a boat is essential. If you’re looking for peace, fishing, exploring pristine beaches …this is the place. Bring bugs spray and some grocery for the first day or two should the sea be too rough for going to the supermarket.
