We loved staying at Shelli’s home in Monterey Dunes Colony. Every room was set up nicely and clean, and you could tell Shelli has put a lot of care into the home. There were 7 of us and each family member enjoyed their stay. We love staying at Monterey Dunes Colony because the location can’t be beat. Every home has their quirks but honestly we didn’t find any at Shelli’s. It was comfortable to hang out and enjoy the beach and scenery, and close enough to outdoor activities and the aquarium. The living room is set up comfortably for a big group, while offering privacy too. It was a restful and rejuvenating getaway! We plan to book again.

What to say. It was so peaceful we kept taking naps. It is a beautiful home nestled in a rolling hillside. The design is spacious with enough room to congregate with or separate from your travel companions. The backyard garden provides beauty and a home for a variety of birds, squirrels, and lizards. You might even spot a few deer at the top of the hillside. Sean and Wendy were great hosts. They responded to my requests quickly and went the extra mile to accommodate our requests. This is a definitely a home to return to.

Everything about our stay was fantastic!! The beds, the pool, the town…the three of us loved this Airbnb and look forward to coming back. Swimming in a heated pool in the winter is a heavenly experience.

Great location, great stay. Beautiful and comfortable space. Worked well for our family of 4. The third bedroom felt a little far away to have our littlest stay in alone but thankfully the second bedroom had a large bed for both kids. Wagon and chairs provided were great for the beach.

We LOVED our stay! This home was such a great find. It’s beautiful, unique, and scenic. The property offered a lot that it’d be a tragedy not to spend most if not all of your time there. We enjoyed it so much we canceled outings. We had with us four teenagers and a pre school age little one. They loved venturing out, enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool time, and s’more making at the fire pit. We wished we had more time to BBQ and enjoy the gorgeous views of the valley. The separate unit above the garage with two bedrooms was perfect for the girls to enjoy their privacy. All of the beds were comfortable, & it had plenty of bathroom & pool towels. Everything was decorated beautifully & was well stocked. The living room had a comfy couch & the kitchen, although on the small side, was perfect for quick home cooked meals. This was a beautiful property, easy to disconnect from reality & a comfy home! It’s worth the drive up/down the windy road, so if you get car sick, just come prepared!

We loved every moment spent in this house ,especially the cats , the house was very comfortable, clean and cozy, I would definitely recommend this house .

I’ve stayed in many an Airbnb and this one might be my all time favorite. For starters, on check in there was no need for me to spend an hour cleaning all the stuff that other hosts often overlook. Just as the pictures show, the old school house is a big, beautiful unique space. We were able to combine three generations of family and have plenty of room for all. Everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I especially loved the entire wall of bookshelves upstairs with lots of great options if you didn’t bring a book. We added two to the collection on our departure. Carmen welcomed us with a vase of flowers, a bottle of wine and eggs and butter for pancakes. Finally, a note on location. As a native Californian I know that some people wonder “why Watsonville??” But this central location allowed us to go to Monterey one day and Santa Cruz the next while providing us with a much larger and enjoyable rental than had we stayed in either of those spots. And the farm views are not to be overlooked

Perfect place to stay near the beach. Was too cold for beach activities but enjoyed walking the neighborhoods along the beaches with all the spring flowers blooming. House had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Great hosts!

We spent a long weekend at Lauren's place and it was a wonderful, relaxing home away from home. Check-in was super smooth and we absolutely loved the area the listing was in. It's walkable (or a very short drive) to many local eateries, breweries, shops, and cafes on the west side and there's also plenty of nature-oriented things to do since it's so close to the ocean — hikes, beaches, walks, parks etc. The listing itself was very clean and had everything we need. Lauren even left some snacks and drinks for us as a welcome gift which we thought was very sweet. The kitchen is well stocked for your needs there. The one small setback was that it didn't have a a full sized refrigerator so the frozen foods we bought didn't quite fit into the mini fridge's freezer section. Everything was spotless and though it was raining while we were there, we would definitely come back and enjoy the patio space next time. Highly recommend this listing for a peaceful getaway to Santa Cruz.

We had a great stay. Ian’s place is cute, comfortable, and close to everything but still nice and quiet. Beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was spacious and well-stocked. My dogs had a great time walking through the neighborhood to the beach and hanging out in the fenced in backyard! The hot tub was a highlight, and Ryan (Ian’s brother) was awesome—he spent nearly a whole day cleaning it after the previous guests to make sure it was perfect for us. Communication with him was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

we really enjoyed our stay in Aptos. there were thoughtful touches throughout the space. it was very convenient when traveling with an animal and the host was very responsive. the home was much more beautiful than the pictures depicted. very enjoyable, stay and getaway

This house was great for our family of four. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped, and the outside area gave the kids a nice place to play. Our toddler especially enjoyed the Thomas train set in his room! This is a lovely area of Santa Cruz too - easy walk to the beach and Boardwalk.

This was our third year using Donna’s home for our week-long annual trip to the Monterey peninsula. We have always been pleased with our stay, and this year was no different. Donna’s home has everything a family or group could need. The home has always been clean and tidy. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, and very close to most of the points of interest in this area including golf courses, the popular Monterey Bay Aquarium/Fisherman’s Wharf, and Laguna Seca Raceway. Her communication has been friendly and clear - no troubles to speak of. If you are considering a stay in this area, either short or longer term, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it!

I stayed a few days in Nalin's charming home while visiting relatives in San Jose. The home had everything I needed, and was comfortable & cheerful. I especially liked the coffee table in the front room that converts to a desk. I had a big data collection project to work on while I was there, and the space was great for spreading out and getting the work done. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. I was especially delighted by the little lights accenting the front yard at night. The house is a short drive from shopping & restaurants. Beds were really comfy. Lots of thoughtful details. I would definitely stay again.

Booked for my parents to stay at for my wedding. We were met with brownies and a wonderful home. Incredible views overlooking Carmel in a peaceful, private setting. It was everything we could have asked for and more. Highly recommend.

Had an amazing time at Louise's place for our mini family reunion. Place was set up great for two families and was especially helpful for our toddler with the baby gates already on the stairs and the child lock on the games cabinet. The house was exceptionally well appointed with beach toys in the garage, games, books, and even kids place settings. Would absolutely stay again!

Amazing location near the beach and beautiful home. We especially loved the backyard and patio. The hammock was so comfortable and the boche ball court with sand toys were a hit with our family. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area!

We had a long girls weekend at Sarah’s home. It was perfect and we loved the location, how centrally located it was to Santa Cruz, Monterey, beaches and so much more. The home was cozy and all the girls said the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked along with the linen closet. We would absolutely go back again. Sarah was an amazing host.

We love this place. They have thought of everything you will need from life vests and beach toys for the kids to parchment paper to cook with. All you need to bring is your own food and clothing and your set. Great location to walk down to the beach or go over to Marriannes for some ice cream. It is clean and cozy and we can't wait to come back.
