The Baita dell'Est is much more than just accommodation – it is a place full of peace, magic and loving details. The cottage is fantastically located, stylishly furnished and offers a real experience with the whirlpool and the view. We came for the 5th anniversary - and got much more than just a nice place to stay. We have collected memories that will remain. What made this stay so special was Nicola. His cordiality, reliability and tips complemented everything perfectly. You can tell right away: there's a real heart in it. We can especially recommend a breakfast at the Pasticceria Mastai in Chiavenna - heavenly! The surroundings also invite you to explore - nature, small alleys, good food. When you drive up to the cottage you find yourself making your way through a slightly spooky forrest road, initially you wonder where you're going and if you'll drive off the end of the earth! But after a few minutes you arrive at the cottage and it is simply magical. The garden is fantastic, the cottage itself looks like a beautiful hobbit hole and the view is absolutely breath taking. Roberta was there to greet us and she was very kind, charming and extremely helpful. The interior of the cottage is absolutely super. Everything is even better than advertised and the sauna, beautiful shower and hot tub are a luxurious joy to use. This cottage is perfect for 2 people planning a relaxing few days away from the busy cities. Yet within 30 minutes drive you are in the heart of Bergamo for a bit of shopping. Roberta is wonderful and the cottage is a dream. We will 100% be back very soon!

Here, time becomes place" – it could not have been put more aptly. It was a great week in Val di Gresta! From the first contact to departure, we were received in a very friendly, almost familiar way. The warm atmosphere, the special house and the beautiful surroundings made our stay something very special. It was nice to be part of this special place for a few days. Thank you, Emiliano!

We spent a week in the fantastically beautiful accommodation. If you're looking for peace and solitude, this is the place to be. No neighbours, no noise from cars. Only surrounded by the great nature. Our children, 9 and 11, loved it. You can start hiking directly from the house (but it starts very steeply), we drove up a bit by car (Rifugio Serot) and started our hikes to the peaks there. We are thrilled with this accommodation and did not want to leave. Manuela and Daniel are very likeable people and have furnished their cottage very lovingly. It is very clean and tidy and nothing is missing.

This place was perfect for our two nights in Lake Como! Could not beat that view and the hot tub was fantastic after a long day of exploring. Host was easy to reach and had good instructions for check in. Would highly recommend a visit to Orrido di Vezio for a small hike and visit to the castle not too far away. All in all you couldn’t ask for anything more

We really enjoyed the place. The nice thing was: Our dogs were also very welcome. The rooms were just sufficient from the square, but the garden is huge and the private swimming pool leaves nothing to be desired. The large outdoor kitchen is perfect for grilling, cooking and getting together. We would recommend the place right away and are already considering when we will go again:)

Very helpful and attentive hosts. Very clean and well-equipped place. Very good location for those looking for sun, clean air, tranquility. For those with walking problems, consider the ten-minute walk to reach the cabin. The last stretch of the road to get near the cabin by car is unpaved, so it is unsuitable for low cars, as correctly indicated by the owners. You can go on interesting walks from the house. The telephone/data signal is almost non-existent and there is no television, so the accommodation is really suitable for those who want to disconnect. A few cabins nearby.

How disconnected can you be from nature? Thanks to Luciano, we were able to understand it. Staying in his accommodation was the perfect opportunity to get closer to nature, animal life, silence, and the coolness of the morning. Walking along the path to reach the hut is like living a magical fairy tale. The place is tidy and extremely clean. Luciano is kind and helpful. His adventure companion, Olèo, a beautiful and very friendly dog. My partner and I needed to get away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city. And the Baita nel Bosco turned out to be the ideal place. We only stayed two nights, but we will definitely be back. This time for longer. Thank you very much Luciano. We had a wonderful week in the beautiful house. The drive from the village takes about fifteen minutes and was curvy and narrow. From the house and especially from the village, many hiking opportunities are easily accessible. The photos show a perfect picture of the house. Don't expect a luxurious shower and no internet. Expect peace and a nice wood stove. As far as we are concerned, improvements for the house are: slightly better mattresses, a somewhat easier staircase to the loft/bedroom, a nice sofa next to the armchairs and where possible a slightly better hot water supply. Despite the areas for improvement, it's just wonderful!

Fantastic stay in this quaint cottage! Better than we expected. The area is quiet and peaceful, with the possibility of excursions starting from the house. The accommodation is equipped with every useful accessory, nothing was really missing! Emanuela is a rare owner who takes her guests to heart and provides directions and advice about the place. We felt at home and the dogs were immediately at ease relaxing in the cool garden.

This is so good! Fantastic view and surroundings. The stay was fantastic, very beautiful build up and design, clean with fabulous view. Neighbourhood was quite quiet, shops and market close early, nearby town (15mins drive) have later restaurants. Host is helpful too, such a great place to stay in!

This beautiful cottage is in a wonderful location in the forest and we liked living there in nature in simple conditions. We felt partly as if we were in fairy tale land. During the week it was very quiet in the village, on the weekend, as described, some renovation work happened at the neighbors. The area is fantastic for hiking and excursions to the lake or to the Val Grande National Park. The hosts Adolfo and Christina are extremely friendly and helpful. Worth the path.

The accommodation was wonderful. The view from there was stunning! Everything was clean and as pictured on the profile. We can only recommend!

14 days so close to heaven... The chalet has everything you need. Electricity was sufficient and hot water was quickly made. With Enrico, we had a very warm host. I appreciate it. Beautiful place with a wonderful view. Fully equipped house, kitchen has everything you can imagine, there are toys for children, trampoline, table tennis, barbecue, fireplace, etc. The hosts are lovely. What more could you need :) Recommended for everyone who loves to enjoy nature and the mountains, but wants the comfort of home.

Gabriella’s house is even better than on the pictures. It’s very well renovated and has everything you might need in winter or summer. We were lucky with the weather and could really enjoy the outdoor space with the magnificent view! Gabriella was very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed.

We spent a few days in this fabulous mountain cabin and can only describe the experience as perfect in every aspect. From the first moment we were impressed by the extreme attention to detail: every corner of the house is designed with love and attention, with warm furnishings, rustic but refined details and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. The cabin is immersed in nature, quiet and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Everything inside is impeccable. An authentic, relaxing and restorative experience. We recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an escape in nature with maximum comfort and good taste. We will definitely be back!

Stefano was an amazing host! My partner and I spent 4 nights and 5 days here, it was truly an adventure. The space was so comfortable and had its own quirks! The place is half way up a mountain, so I suggest being in good health before staying here because you have to walk approximately 35min home! The walk is so peaceful, and you pass many beautiful sites. There are multiple paths you can take! The area is extremely safe. Thank you Stefano! He is so responsive and helpful! The commute from Torno to Como and back was fun every time from this area!

Roberto's cottage is a paradise! Our holiday there was fantastic. The arrival was immediately exciting: our luggage in a caterpillar transporter after the mountain. Our 2-year-old daughter immediately fell in love with the two ponies in the meadow and our 5-year-old son caught lizards all day, which were there in large numbers. We cooked in the evening (including with ingredients for pasta carbonara that we got from Roberto and fresh eggs from the chickens) in the outdoor kitchen with beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. We went for beautiful walks every day. Highly recommended and nearby was: Capella Fina - Pizzo Pernice; along the east side of the mountain with wonderful views, and back over the ridge (path towards Monte Todum). We had initially booked a few weeks earlier, but were allowed to move our booking a day earlier at no extra cost due to the weather. It's a shame we didn't speak Italian, because Roberto was very friendly!
