Set within a quiet courtyard Ty Llwyd is part of the former Bala workhouse, dating from around 1836, a renovated 3 storey Victorian terrace. Set among the beautiful Snowdonia National Park you can find an abundance of truly stunning landscapes to explore from the doorstep. Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) is a short walk from the house with canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing available, numerous walking and cycling trails and all local amenities, pubs, shops, and cafes within 200yds.

The tower that the house gets its name from goes back to at least 1460 with latter additions is set in four acres of gardens including a lake. We are a 19th century refurbished stone house situated five minutes walk from Llangollen centre with off road parking. We have an abundance of activities including kayaking courses,(storage and drying available here), paddle boarding, international mountain bike downhill track. We also have numerous walks including the Offa’s Dyke path and for the less energetic a relaxing horse drawn boat experience. We are also in close proximity of the many wedding venues in the area.

Ystafell Las (The Blue Room) is a lovely, light room, with a double bed and king size duvet, with large windows and a view of Y Gogarth (Great Orme). Tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
