Nice place. Consider 1 hour deficit of your time each time when you leave the place by car; half hour to get down to the main road to Tolmin, and another half hour to go back up on the serpentine road going through the forest. If your main thing is to withdraw, to bury yourself into a quiet and peaceful place, then this is a perfect place for you. The nearest shop or restaurant is half hour from here by car. However, if you intend to visit the well-known places in the Julian Alps, you would definitely be better off finding accommodation in another area, because from here, it takes 1-2 hours to get to anywhere in the Julian Alps, except the fascinating Tolmin gorge, which is worth a 1,5 hour long visit.

We had a wonderful stay in this little house in Triglav National Park. It was very clean, the kitchen is excellently equipped - ideal if you want to cook yourself - and the premises are very cozy. The pellet stove provides a pleasant, cosy warmth, especially after a day outside in nature. I recommend packing slippers, as the tiled floors are quite cold. The location is fantastic - in the middle of the countryside, with great hiking opportunities right on the doorstep or from Tolminske Ravne, which can be reached via a narrow road directly from the accommodation. A big thank you to the team at Soca Holidays, who were always friendly, quick and helpful before and during our stay. A special thank you goes to Nives for her warm support! We will be happy to come back!

We rented Darinka’s cottage for a week and had a wonderful time with our family. The house is peacefully located in the mountains and offers a stunning view. We could enjoy our meals outside while taking in the beautiful scenery. There were also toys available for the children, which they really enjoyed. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and eat comfortably. In short, it’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature!
