Located in the heart of the Atchafalaya Wetlands, halfway between Lafayette & Baton Rouge, this 2,800 sqft property has a spacious living area & well-equipped kitchen. Walking upstairs, you enter a sunroom overlooking the water. One of two bedrooms has a work desk area. Downstairs is an unfinished game room with a pool table & entrance to a large deck with outdoor amenities & beautiful scenery. Bayou Belle is great for fishing, relaxing, & fellowship. Cabins are prewar 1940's motor court with covered parking. Each cabin features, queen bed, TV, WiFi, small bathroom with small shower, original lavatory & fixtures in bathroom. Small kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Air conditioners and electric space heaters. Restaurant (Magnolia Cafe) hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10-3 and Coffee Shop ( Birdman ) on site. Come enjoy history with modern amenities and explore the beautiful plantations homes in our area.

The River Retreat

This cozy cottage is nestled along the bank of the Atchafalaya River, a few miles south of interstate 10 and half way between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La. Drive through your own little private swamp as you enter the property before it opens up to the cottage. The front porch is only steps away from the river. Large windows line the front of the home so you will have a wonderful view wherever you’re at. It is a perfect place to relax while surrounded by nature.
