This single storey dog friendly cottage, comfortably sleeps 2 and has the use of a large garden. You’ll love Great Salkeld with its excellent village pub, ancient church and its many countryside walks. The village is set in the tranquil Eden Valley, close to the river Eden. Just 10 miles from the Lake District National Park, it makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region.

Transport is easy, 5 minutes from jct 40 at Penrith, on the A686. 1.5 hours from Newcastle and a 10 min walk from the Carlisle/Settle/Leeds station line.

Peaceful and self-contained, but just across the courtyard from our Victorian farmhouse, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay with a well-equipped kitchen and wifi. The property is set on a smallholding in a picturesque Cumbrian village at the bottom of Hartside pass.

The Barn @ Beck Mill

Situated in the beautiful Eden Valley which lies between the Lake District and the Northern Pennines, we have converted an 17th Century barn into a modern chic, cosy, private one-bedroom apartment perfect for a luxurious getaway to this beautiful corner of the UK. The spacious apartment has a king-sized bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower and an open plan kitchen and living room. There is WiFi ( but it can be intermittent due to our rural location) TV and DVD player.

The village has a pub & a small shop. A 5 minute drive from the historic market town of Penrith which has a selection of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants & amenities. Easy access to the A66 for Keswick. Very convenient to get to from the M6 motorway (junction 41).

Stay at the Garden Room, a perfect base for exploring The Lakes. The Garden Room is a one bedroom self-contained annex adjoining our home. You will have your own separate entrance and outdoor seating area as well as an ensuite, kitchen facilities and indoor seating area.

The Sparrows is a cosy ground floor apartment just for two in the heart of the Eden Valley in the picturesque village of Kirkoswald. It is part of a larger house (West View) but has its own entrance and you will have exclusive use of the apartment.
