The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Within the eco-friendly "La Colline aux Chevreuils", located on the heights of Volvestre facing the Pyrenees, less than an hour from Toulouse. La Cabane du Chevreuil welcomes you to a 4 ha permaculture site for a comfortable, exotic and informative stay in the heart of nature. Optionally in the evening, a platter of 10 varieties of farm cheeses will be served in the cabin or outside to admire the sunset accompanied by salad and wine as well as gourmet homemade desserts.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space, where you will stay to the sound of nature. The independent cottage with an area of 46 m² on 2 levels in complete privacy. Air-conditioned, equipped with a bedroom with 1 bed 160 and sofa bed in the living room. Towels and bed linen are provided. This gîte is non-smoking. Equipped kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher. Sunny terrace, this is ideal for breakfast or toasting for the evening aperitif.

Apartment with independent entrance. Bright room and space dedicated to work. Located on the 1st floor of a villa. The kitchen is outside the apartment. Access is via an external staircase. Possibility of accessing a common veranda with the host for outdoor dining. We are located in a very quiet subdivision on the edge of the village. Shops and village center 5-minute walk. Lake 5 min walk. Nature is nearby for walks or bike rides.
