Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

We enjoyed the place very much! The terrace with great views and the well-equipped kitchen were particularly nice. The bathroom was also clean. Communication with the host was quick and friendly, the caretaker on site was very helpful. The front door was easy to open with a code. Once we had ants in the apartment, but after a short message we immediately got a spray – after that everything was fine again. There were two small bloodstains on the ceiling, which was a bit unpleasant, but otherwise everything was clean. The entrance to the house is a bit narrow and therefore a bit difficult to drive, but feasible. Overall a good stay with small compromises.

Had a wonderful stay. The loft is big enough for 2 people and 2 children. The view is amazing and with children it is wonderful to have such a large garden at your disposal. We were also able to use the bbq. The owner is very friendly, quick to respond and gives clear instructions. Despite the latter, unfortunately, we drove wrongly to the loft, but when you get there, the view is a gift. Even if you wake up in the morning and in the evening with all the lights of surrounding villages.

Beautiful place with a beautiful view. A bit far to walk from Stresa to the house, but a short taxi ride did the trick. The local restaurant at walking distance was well worth the visit. Our host Marcello invited us for a Limoncello and a coffee at his bar which was very pleasant. Lovely stay!
