A cosy stone built cottage, circa 1800, in a superb location on the outskirts of Lerwick. Gorgeous sea view, with the Sands of Sound beach just down the road and great access to coastal walks. Easy walking distance to Tesco and the Clickimin Leisure Complex, with Lerwick town centre only 1.25 miles away. There's a well equipped kitchen with a pully for drying clothes and also a good size living room. Mavine Cottage is a great base from which to explore all Shetland has to offer.

Driftwood Cottage was the perfect base for our holiday to Shetland. We don't think we could have found anywhere better on the Islands! It exceeded our expectations. The cottage had everything we needed, with so many thoughtful additions too. We loved the colourful and eclectic decoration. There was plenty of space, a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting room and a restful bedroom. The large walk-in shower, with plenty of hot water, was great! The location is amazing! We had views out across the sea and Shetland ponies next door. We even had a curlew in the garden one day! We had some wild weather during our stay, and Driftwood Cottage was a warm, welcoming and peaceful place to retreat to, after a day of rain and gales! It was definitely a home-from-home.

We had a lovely stay in this property. It was a very peaceful location. The house is well equipped and we appreciated the food items that were provided as a welcome pack. The house was very clean when we arrived. It is a great location for walking to Lerwick and for accessing the rest of Shetland. Parking outside or nearby was never a problem. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Fab place, clear instructions, I advise to take screen shot of key code as my phone reception was poor, nipped across the street to the bowling club and got WiFi so could log into my Air BnB account. Once inside everything was great, thanks so much.

We had a lovely stay at James and Mandy’s place, so lovely that we’ve already booked to return in 2026! Instructions for locating parking and the apartment were spit on with great pictures. Parking was free and accessible. The apartment is in a fantastic location in Lerwick, walkable within 5 minutes to restaurants and shops (recommend booking restaurants ahead of time). The apartment is spacious and clean with all necessary amenities including a washer. Bed is comfortable. Our favorite thing about the apartment like so many others have mentioned is the lovely view over the harbor to Bressay. We enjoyed our morning coffee either on the couch or sitting at the table. We are looking forward to staying here again!

We had a great stay at number 9. The little house was cosy, clean and very well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. The house is really central with shops and restaurants a few minutes' walk away. It was easy to park and only took a couple of minutes to walk to the house through pretty gardens. A great base for our explorations of the mainland!
