Our home was built by Texas oilman and businessman J.R. Parten. The property was visited by then sitting President Lyndon B. Johnson. The guest suite was Parten's home office, complete with a cement lined closet that he used as a fireproof vault/safe.
“Amazing!!! We were greeted by a few friendly faces and their sweet dog ❤ I loved the welcoming party and we absolutely loved our stay. Their house is beautiful. The room was so neat and clean. They gave us our privacy and the entire stay was very peaceful. We felt very comfortable and at home. I would highly recommend staying here and would come back ANY TIME!! 😊❤”

“We had a wonderful stay on Dennis and Christa’s farm, 4 adults and 2 children. From exploring the acres and acres of land, feeding the animals (cattle, miniature horses, chickens, guinea hens, ducks, geese, and catfish), playing with the dogs, picking fresh eggs each morning for breakfast, and having s’mores by the fire each night, we were never bored for something to do. The weather was beautiful so we spent most of our time outside, but if the weather had been less nice the indoors was stocked with lots of movies, books and games to entertain us. Christa was a wonderful host, keeping us stocked in s’mores ingredients, a yummy pie, taking our boys out on the ATV to feed the animals, and letting us help her get some new baby chicks settled into their new home. As we left our boys asked when we could go back!”
Our little Texas cabin is the perfect way to relax and unwind in nature....if you really want to leave it all behind and just enjoy nature you've found the right place. Enjoy the rocking chairs and hammocks on the porch!
“This place is a hidden gem. It is the spot to disconnect from the modern world and recharge your batteries surrounded by nature. The cabin is located next to several flower meadows so it’s a sight! We also saw rabbits, deer, red-Robbins, and many dragonfly. At night you can see so many stars!! The cabin is cozy and quirky. You immediately feel welcomed! There is plenty of sitting indoors and outdoors. The bed are comfortable and the cabin has everything you may need. The host is also very hospitable and pays attention to detail. You will not regret coming here!”
