“We had a wonderful stay on Dennis and Christa’s farm, 4 adults and 2 children. From exploring the acres and acres of land, feeding the animals (cattle, miniature horses, chickens, guinea hens, ducks, geese, and catfish), playing with the dogs, picking fresh eggs each morning for breakfast, and having s’mores by the fire each night, we were never bored for something to do. The weather was beautiful so we spent most of our time outside, but if the weather had been less nice the indoors was stocked with lots of movies, books and games to entertain us. Christa was a wonderful host, keeping us stocked in s’mores ingredients, a yummy pie, taking our boys out on the ATV to feed the animals, and letting us help her get some new baby chicks settled into their new home. As we left our boys asked when we could go back!”

“If you're looking for a break from city living—but with plenty of (literal) creature comforts—this is the place for you. My kids, ages 12 and 16, loved every minute of this trip. I don't know how Bruce and Susan did it; it's like the world's largest petting zoo, with so many gentle animals roaming free and enjoying companionship with humans. All of the animals were very loved and well cared for. We especially loved Bear, one of the four (!) Great Pyrenees, who liked riding in the golf cart with us. Crystal was always available to answer questions with a smile, and Rowdy gave us lots of information about the animals—which he truly loves—and took us "backstage" to see some baby emus. My city kids 100% needed this outdoor adventure, where they could roam freely but safely among so many animals. The bonded with goats, horses, chickens, bison, and even zebras. And they loved getting around in the golf cart—especially at night! We're hoping to to return one day, with a bigger group, and to take advantage of the fishing, water sports, and other available activities.”

“The Red Caboose is a fabulous place to take your child or grandchild. We had a fabulous time for our grandson’s 5th birthday. Mark met us at the beautifully restored 100 year old caboose and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a cute decorative birthday banner and homemade train cookies for his birthday. We loved that we were right on the lake and there was a gas grill and a great fire pit!! So much fun and a great place to make memories!!!”
