Cozy yurt in a private forest area. Walking distance to the cheese factory (ice cream, lunches, snacks), produce stands, and a park. Short drive to Madoc (groceries, beer/ LCBO, parks, beach, library, bakery, restaurants, etc). Perfect area for star gazing, long walks & bike rides. This yurt is in a camping setting, with indoor bathroom, no shower (guests can use the house shower) or wifi but there is electricity, indoor camping stove, BBQ, mini fridge, all pots & pans and clean drinking water.
“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience with Burt the yurt. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided (except firewood!). Alysia has decorated the place with very thoughtful pieces. The location itself was quiet and isolated in nature, yet still accessible to anything you may need. Due to COVID, some of the local experiences that were recommended were closed (the scoop and the quarry) but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. Thanks again Alysia. We hope to be back some day!”
This is a quaint cottage on a restful lake. The cottage is newly renovated in a industrial/modern style. Extensive windows provide fantastic views. Open concept allows for easy/relaxing entertaining. There is a private boat launch with small creek that runs through the property. Canoes, kayaks, sailboard and paddle boat come with the rental. Pets are welcome.
“Perfect getaway with lovely views of the lake and close proximity to Sharbot Lake, Enjoyed all the activities from stand-up paddle boarding to pedal boating to canoeing, laying out on the dock or going for a swim on St. George Lake and nice fire for s'mores in the evening. Very peaceful and quiet at night with just the right sound of the Loons. Can't wait to come back!! If in town stop by Cardinal Cafe and Shop for great baked goods and coffee.”

“Cathy's place is a gem! We visited for a weekend getaway paired with a trip to Prince Edward County (about 45 mins - 1 hour drive away). Place was sparkling clean and had the most adorable decor. Great use of the space provided as well. Cathy is a fantastic host, warm and welcoming. We learned about the ins and outs of running a working alpaca farm and also received fabulous tips/recommendations for the local area + the County. A lovely place to enjoy some time away and meet cute alpacas! Highly recommend.”
