Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Leisure Island

Beautiful family home with everything you need for a holiday. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. We loved our stay

Maria made us feel right at home. The place is incredible, and the furniture is equally impressive. We mostly followed the recommendations they gave us. The house is situated in a very safe area, just a 5-minute walk from a restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect place to stay with a baby. We used the barbecue and beach chairs. Knysna is an ideal break on the Garden Route. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

We boekten erg laat, een dag tevoren. Doordat de eigenaar/host onderweg bleek kon die niet snel reageren en duurde het tot de volgende dag ca. 14 uur eer we wisten of de boeking akkoord was. Toen ontbrak nog een gedetailleerde route beschrijving en het huis ligt afgelegen, goed verscholen. Dat is ook de charme, maar zonder juiste plek is het lastig zoeken. Bij aankomst was de housekeeper nog druk bezig en konden we pas tegen 17 uur er in trekken. Maar het huis is erg mooi, groot en heeft een prachtige veranda die uitzicht biedt op de lagune van Knysna. Erg rustig, wel een eindje rijden vanaf het centrum van Knysna, maar je kunt niet alles tegelijk hebben. We hebben genoten en de stroeve start was snel vergeten. Kleine tip voor de host... een filterhouder voor de koffie of een klein simpel machientje doet wonderen.

This was a safe area where we could walk through the neighborhood. It is close to everything in Knysna. It was very clean and having a washer was really helpful. Wifi seemed slow. The property has a lot of steps, but that was fine for our family. It was nice to have multiple seating areas so we could sit together or spread out when we wanted to. Host offered information on local attractions and had coffee, milk, and sugar for when we arrived.

We loved our stay at Sheila and Roy’s. The view was amazing and we felt so well cared for. Sheila was very responsive and had great suggestions for local restaurants and oattractions. Very comfortable stay!

We have spent many holidays on Thesen Islands over the years, renting multiple homes on multiple islands. We have now found the perfect home for us. What you arrive to is so much better than any description or picture and exceeded all of our expectations without exception. It's a stunning North facing location with a wonderful view up the main canal. The home is very well appointed and most notably, for us and for my wife, spotlessley clean. Also very notably we were supplied with the small things that make a big difference and give you a sense of generosity by the hosts; toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, sponges, washing powder, hand soaps etc (you'll be shocked how many home stays don't supply the small things). We are so appreciative to Ilsebe for sharing her lovely home with us. 2026 is already booked. Can't wait! The Farrells

We had such a fantastic stay at Richards place. The house exceeded our expectations. Its a short walk to the lagoon, we could launch our boat on the lagoon and spend the morning on the water. The house is a 20 min drive from knysna where we could enjoy other amenities like quadbiking etc. We also got to enjoy the local farmers market in sedgefield. Richard was responsive and checked in to make sure we checked in easily and enjoying our stay. We were a group or 9 and the house felt very spacious. The hosts made sure every need was met. I'd definitely recommend staying at this accommodation.

Mark assisted us in a great way to reach the place, the entire community was so good located on the river bed. It was a short stay for us, wish to stay there for a longer period in the future. All of us especially kids loved the surroundings. Overall a great place to stay 😄

A beautiful home that was perfect for my family. Accessible for my parents who were elderly, and my son spent hours canoeing the waterfront and swimming in the canal. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to visit Knysna. Walking distance to Waterfront with so much to offer!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft schön und die Lagune ist toll zum Baden für kleine Kinder. Auf der Terrasse haben wir gegrillt und es uns gemütlich gemacht. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Beautifully located within the Thesen Island precinct with access to its facilities this unit is a penthouse with convenient access from your parking directly to the unit. Well maintained and kept well by Douglas who communicates clearly and is always close by if you need additional support.

Werden wir auf jeden Fall empfehlen, wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt, alle waren unheimlich nett und waren hilfsbereit. Die Lage unschlagbar wenn man abends gerne Essen oder bummeln möchte dann ist man dort gut und sicher aufgehoben.

Super mooie Airbnb midden in het groen. Het uitzicht is echt prachtig. Toen we vroegen of we onze spullen mochten opslaan omdat we na het uitchecken nog een hike wouden maken, was dit geen enkel probleem. Inchecken ging super soepel, het appartement was schoon en het bed lag echt heerlijk! Al met al een aanrader dus :)

Nicola's apartment was perfect for our overnight stay. Close to the waterfront, with lots of restaurants within walking distance to choose from. Elmo was a super star and so accommodating. Thank you

The main house is beautiful, looks better in person. The house is so bigger everything is provided for you. My wife loved the garden & the pool, the work on this property is amazing! I highly recommend this property I can't wait to go back again!

We were a large group of 9 adults and 5 children and felt so welcome and at home at 6onProtea. The rooms are all very well equipped, the kitchen and dining area well serviced and the views/location was beautiful. The manager and his housekeepers were AMAZING! We felt so cared for with their excellent recommendations for local restaurants/attractions. Nothing was too much trouble and they were attentive but not intrusive. The manager provided us with a great selection of new board games when we arrived as he thought “we looked like we were a group that would play games”. He was so right! We have many special memories of playing board games and laughing next to the roaring fire on the chilly winter nights in a special location in Knysna. We will be back!

Absolutely stunning views over the beach and sea. The views can be enjoyed from everywhere in the house. Extremely large beautiful property with lots of open space inside and out. A large balcony with loads of space to relax on. The main bedroom and bathroom are a great size and very comfortable again both with amazing views. Large dressing room too. All far bigger than the photos show. A few minutes drive to the beach which is lovely and not too busy. There is only a very small village shop with very limited supplies. We ate at Butterfly Blu on the beach a couple of time and the food was very good. Our only feedback would be some comfortable relaxing chairs to be used on the lawn. There are however 2 loungers on the balcony. We would definitely recommend this property especially if you are looking for privacy and scenic views.

Had an excellent stay at the Blue Ocean Villa. Fantastic view out over the ocean and golf course from all the rooms in the house. Really beautiful house. So peaceful. Big thanks to Amelia for being so helpful with check-in a departure given last minute flight delays.

Bahari has the most spectacular view. You feel as if you’re floating on the ocean. This is our second stay here and we did find that perhaps the house needed some maintenance but other than that we loved it and will happily return. Karen is extremely helpful and quick to assist if there are any issues that require action.

This has to be the best house we have ever stayed in. The house all the amenities and amazing attention to detail. Incredible views, every appliance you need and responsive host, worth every cent. Definitely coming back.
