“Very tidy and lovely AirBnb apartment equipped with everything you need. A good bed and nice bathroom. Veronica is a great host and there when you need her, very nice and thanks again for dropping me at the station. I had a great stay!”
The Green Cabin is a purpose-designed self-catering guest suite. It is a contemporary addition to a 19th century lock-keeper's house with its own entrance and complete privacy set in a beautiful riverside location at the heart of Ireland's Ancient East where a diverse group of visitors may explore and enjoy its 5,000 years of history.
“We had a really relaxing stay at The Green Cabin. The cabin is perfect for a country getaway, with it’s serene setting by the Levitstown Mill on the waterway. The accommodation has all you could need, a fully appointed kitchen, a lovely dining and sitting area where we enjoyed breakfast each morning and dinner each evening. The bedroom area is lovely and bright, with a really comfy bed, and looks out on to the wild garden and decking area. The bathroom has a fabulous rain-forest shower, which was really welcome after long walks along the waterway in the balmy weather. The space is light, airy and spotlessly clean. A really great spot for a few days away from the city – close to Athy for groceries and essentials too! Would highly recommend to friends and family. ”
Charming 2 bedroom cottage,in quite countryside setting, close to all local amenities.
“I booked last minute due to a business trip to Ireland and I am so grateful I found Maureen’s listing. It really was a home from home, exceptionally clean, and a really comfortable bed which for me is really important. Maureen went out of her way to make my stay pleasant, communicating with me during my journey there and making sure the heating was on so it was warm when I arrived. I also really enjoyed chatting with Maureen and John during my stay about the local area, and I got to meet their dog Rocky and give him lots of fuss. The area has local shops and pubs so would be perfect for families and friends to stay too, with Kildare Village outlet only a short drive away to shop all day. Thank you so much for your hospitality.”
