Horses/hikers/bikers are welcome along the 5-mi ridge of Smith Mt minutes away. Relax around a fire enjoying the starry sky or kick back in the comfortable lodge.

Triple Crown Cabin w/ Trout pond!

Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. 15min to Town of Bedford and D-Day Memorial. 35min to Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Smith Mtn Lake. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign).

A quiet cottage for young and old alike! Situated on a farm with hiking trails, creeks & streams! Coffee, tea, cream, sweeteners and snacks await you! The "Kitchen" includes coffeemakers, fridge, microwave, toaster oven and a 2 burner hot plate with all necessities to cook (there is no standard oven or kitchen sink - if needed we will pick up your dishes and clean them for you!). Fresh linens and towels are provided. The cabin dates back to the 1800's and was recently restored.

Bring your family to enjoy smores in the fire pit, grilling on the back deck, and lovely creek in the back yard. 10 minutes away, host a beautiful Smith Mountain Lake with plenty of activities. Boat rentals, put put, arcade, and great restaurants just down the road. There is plenty of room for parking for all who want to bring your own boat.
