Welcome to our guesthouse! This space once was a summer kitchen just off of our main house built in the mid 1800s. Come and enjoy some tiny house living in our just under 300 square foot freshly renovated get away!
“My stay at Sheila’s cozy cottage was so relaxing and peaceful. While I was there I had a little red bird visit me on my windowsill it was so magical.... and then I took a walk up the road to a local farmers market and had a very nice chat with the ladies at the market. I left with a delicious cherry slushy, fresh pickles, and some kettle corn!! If you need some fresh country air to clear your mind! I highly recommend Sheila’s place!”
This one of a kind mid-century modern home sits above a peaceful mountain stream located in Wernersville Pa. The home has two bedroom, bathroom with walk-in shower and combined dining/living room with a cozy modern fireplace and a 60" 4K tv. Relax year around in the large outdoor hot tub while listening to the sounds of the peaceful creek and birds singing. A short 10-20 minute drive you'll find shopping and most any restaurant you can imagine.
“This is truly a special place. Perfectly private and quiet and oh so serene. The house itself is incredibly designed from the beautiful modern look outside to the even more modern inside. The fireplace under the gigantic tv is a great way to spend an evening. We were fortunate that they had cleaned the hot tub and drained it so after a long drive on a scorching day it was the perfect temperature for a soak. The place was immaculate and clean and had everything you could want. If you have the chance book this place! You wont regret it!”
Our location at the foot of Blue Mountain has become ideal for a new reason. It is pleasant to self-isolate in this private suite (living room, bedroom, bathroom and "almost-kitchen") on 5 acres. Seven miles from Hawk Mountain, and 3 miles from hiking (including the Appalacian Trail), biking, and the historic borough of Hamburg. Although rural, it is close to grocery shopping and restaurants offering take-out. Enjoy pure comfort in our solar and geothermal heated and cooled modern house.
“Martha is the best Airbnb host that I've ever had - she deserves her status as Superhost! Martha is caring and always checking in to see what I need. During my 30-day stay, Martha got the place a toaster after I asked if there was one, and replaced the refrigerator all the next day when the ice was melting a little bit. She is attentive, kind, caring, and super sweet. I love walking around Martha's 5 acres and taking in the nature, views of the blue mountains, her growing forest, and even watching her cat Bella fake-hunt! I love walking through Martha's studio to get to my art studio place, as I get to admire all the artwork she displays in her studio, and throughout the airbnb place! I always feel inspired after seeing the masterpieces not only from Martha, her husband Jay, but also from friends around the world, like special Cuban pieces. Martha's place is cozy and comfortable, and the wifi was fast. The bed is wonderful, and I always slept well. There was ample heat through the colder nights. I love Martha's idea of having happy hour at 5pm. Jay would light a fire, and I always love chatting with the both of them. It's also fun to watch the birds fly around, learn about the different flowers, plants, and trees. I also got to see blue bird eggs, which were also blue. Martha's Roku is also fantastic, as I got to watch movies, television, and listen to music. She also has awesome snacks! I have never seen an Airbnb host put out snacks and cereal for the guests. The location itself is rural, but also 4 minutes from a shopping center with Walmart. 30 minutes away is Whole Foods and Trader Joes. It's rural living but close to everything you need. I highly recommend Martha's place. It truly is a gem in the Blue Mountains, and you will have a great time!”
