The Yellow Cottage is a tiny house, just under 200 sq ft, with bath, (shower, no tub) and kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, no stove,) in very private setting and is ideal for a solo traveler. The sitting room has 2 twin beds, (Day bed - trundle style,) and the mattresses are standard size- not XL. The trundle will roll out and pop up to accommodate a second guest. Porch, with rockers, offer a sanctuary from hectic pace. Cottage is reminiscent of simpler times; Cozy, and comfortable!
“Jan and Charlie were amazing hosts! The Yellow Cottage is small but very cute and has everything you could need for a short stay, and is in a good location. The directions to get into the cottage were very clear and Jan had some fresh made banana bread waiting for me. The cottage is behind the main house so I saw Jan a few times as I was coming and going and we were able to chat, but nothing was intrusive. It really is a delightful stay and I highly recommend it.”

“This beautifully decorated loft apartment is on a lovely street in the historic district of Vicksburg. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bed is comfortable. We had everything we needed and wanted. We enjoyed exploring the National Historic Park, despite hot summer weather, and were happy to relax and cool off at Nicole's loft.”
Come stay in the smallest town in Louisiana! Mound was established by the Yerger family in the late 1800's, directly across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg, MS. Only 1/2 mile from Interstate 20, its nestled quietly in the Louisiana delta, only 8 minutes from all of the amenities of a bustling city. The home was built as a hotel in the 1890's and is situated on a 6 acre property surrounded by agriculture and pecan trees.
“We had the most incredible time at the Mound Plantation. Bradly was excellent in communicating with us. The house and land were so charming and historic. Our beds were extremely comfortable and everything was clean and beautiful just like in the pictures. Bradly cooked an incredible breakfast for us each morning and even loaded us up with coffee and bottled water for the road. Callie and their girls were so sweet and hospitable too. We had a blast meeting the chickens, feeding the horses and swimming in the pool. We traveled through several states this summer on our vacation and staying at the Mound Plantation was a real highlight for our family. We'll always remember our stay there and very highly recommend it!!”
