“BOOK THIS PLACE! YOU WONT REGRET IT! This home is not only unique, and beautiful, it's a great break from the busy outside world. It's remote, but still plenty to do in nature. We stopped at a local store and brought food to cook there. Enjoyed a long walk toward Port, plenty of sheep to keep us company along the way. The town closest was about 25 min away and had great places to eat or grab a pint. Do yourselves a favor and sit outside on a clear night as well, the stars are breathtaking!!!! 10/10 we will be back as soon as we can!!!!”
Back to nature - Sleepy Hut is a 2.5m high insulated wooden hut nestled within a peaceful woodland setting known as Sleepy Hollows. Surrounded by a haven of birdsong, river-walk only 300m from the front door, and just off the Wild Atlantic Way - a great base for exploring north-west County Donegal. 3 minute stroll to local pubs Teach Tessie, and Leo's Tavern. 9 minute drive from Blue Flag beach (Carrickfinn), 15 minute from Errigal Mountain, 25 minute from Glenveagh Castle & National Park.
“The wooden hut we stayed in in sleepy hollow was fab. Our little deck and outside sitting area meant we could sit out even in the rain. Our stay would have been lovely with or without excellent hospitality as the location and the hut were so cool. However, Nic and Ian took the experience to a totally different level with the attention to detail and the extra touches. Lighting a fire pit for us each evening, fairy lights all over the place, putting out incense sticks to keep the midgies away, flashlights and candles in the hut (thank god, we brought none). It was just class. All campers were totally at ease and sat out for a few drinks around the fire. A common thought between us all was that the attention to detail that Nic and Ian had and their immaculate facilities were a rare find. We will be back!”
One bedroom apartment on the Wild Atlantic Way with panoramic views. Suitable for singles, couples or families.
“Joanne was an excellent host - quick to respond to queries, she provided us with all the information we needed about the location, available amenities and places of interest before & during our stay. The apartment was great, though compact, it contained everything we needed and much, much more. Joanne was very accommodating which made it really easy for us to settle in; the homemade scones and readymade fire were an especially warm welcome on the day of our arrival! Throughout our stay Joanne demonstrated the art of perfect hosting, going out of her way to be helpful and readily available without at all imposing. The information booklet, leaflets etc. provided were also very useful. Joanne really has thought of everything, including all those special extras to guarantee the perfect getaway! We hope to be back again soon!”
