Gîte "Le petit Bonheur" is located in a small peaceful hamlet on the water's edge, ideal for resting, swimming, walking .... It is ideally located just 15 minutes from Albi, as well as many Other tourist sites (Cordes sur ciel, Toulouse, Viaduct of Millau ....)
Set in the beautiful and largely undiscovered Vallée de Gijou this luxury tiny house is equipped to the very highest standards. All self catering facilities are available, yet as ex-restaurateurs the owners can provide breakfast, lunches/picnics and dinners on order. Nestled in the Haut Languedoc Park between the Southern French town of Castres (40 minutes) and world heritage site of Albi (45 minutes). The region is awash with places to visit and things to do.
“Wow! Highly recommend staying at Karen’s tiny house (which is actually more spacious than you might think!). My husband and I stayed for nearly a week and would go back if given the chance. First, the space: gorgeous and cozy, with so many thoughtful touches - nespresso and foamer, homemade biscotti and spicy nuts, local toiletries. Fully equipped kitchen and great bathroom. Super comfy bed. The wifi slightly spotty when we were there, but good mobile reception to fill in any gaps if needed. Second: the surrounding area. Gorgeous hikes literally going through the backyard, a river nearby to swim in, and within an hour drive of many sweet towns and local attractions. Third, but certainly not least, our amazing host Karen: Provided so many helpful local tips, and helped us with every little thing we needed! And she makes the most incredible meals. We had fresh baguette every morning delivered to our door, ordered the three course dinner twice (so lovely sitting by the fire outside!), and had the most delicious (and generous) packed lunch the day we left. Should have ordered it every day!”
With an exceptional view of the river Tarn, my home is located 7km from the peninsula of Ambialet, quiet, nestled in a green area. Come enjoy an authentic nature. Ideal for animal lovers and fishing. Near Albi (20 min), episcopal city classified World Heritage by Unesco, with its Cathedral, museums, restaurants, cinemas and theater. My accommodation is ideal for couples, solo travelers, and their four-legged companions.
“Great stay at La Tute! A little paradise in the heart of nature sheltered from all urban activity! Change of scenery and disconnection guaranteed! Animal lovers will be happy. The little extra, swimming in the Tarn at the foot of the house, or the beach 500m further (predict the river shoes). Another big thank you to Alain and Francine for their welcome, the time they took to make us visit their land, their advice on the region, not to mention the meetings of the locals =) We will come back so much we were happy !!”
