The Potter's House is an old traditional, renovated two-storey building with the potter's studio and a gallery space downstairs and a tastefully renovated apartment upstairs. It is situated in the traditional village of Lafkos. The neighbourhood is quiet although the house is only two minutes from the beautiful village square which is shaded by enormous Plane trees and surrounded by tavernas, a traditional coffee shop and two gift shops. A new playground is available at the village square.
“Once we reached Lafkos we realized that we had come to a really beautiful village. Without exaggerations and situations of tourist orgasm, we were amazed at its simplicity and character. Nice and clean houses, a fantastic square, playground and… 100 parking space. The first contact with Mr. John showed that we have a human being and not a faceless professional. Friendly and genuine, always willing to answer any questions and guide us so that we always get better with a distinctive style. What about the house. As you can see in the photos, but if you do not live it is not the same. A complete home with ALL the necessities you have in the home you live in. Mr. John made sure they were complete and in ... consumable materials. Every time we opened a closet we were in for a surprise… The aura of the house, the many windows, the quiet and the peace made us sit at home more than ever before on holiday. If it wasn't for the beaches of South Volos to reward us almost we wouldn't go out. Ms. Esme's sweet and sympathetic figure complemented the positive atmosphere by offering delicious handmade cookies for children. Mr Yannis, Madam Esme, thank you for the seven wonderful days and we wish you all the best and a good winter.”
First floor garage with balcony. It has the distinctiveness of having a 10 sq m patio. with unlimited view of Pagasitikos and gorgeous sunset. It is a clean, recently renovated house, with its own staircase and front door. A two-room house with a breathtaking view atrium.
“Yannis' house is worth 100%. It is definitely an opportunity for a magical holiday in Pelion !! It combines mountain and sea! The day you enjoy the many beaches that are 10-15 'by car and in the evening you enjoy the coolness by making a restful sleep! What else do you want? The house was very convenient and had plenty of amenities and facilities (cotton, Betadin, depot, cotton nappies, baby socks and much more) for which, if I knew I would not have carried with me :-). Everything new and clean. The fact that Lafkos is at a hub, gives you the choice to go swimming either on the side of Pagasitikos (Milina, Grass, etc.) or on the Aegean side (Kastri, Platanias, Mikro Katigiorgis) and 20 'by car. Potistika which is a beautiful beach was a little further away (30 '). The house is within a 2-3-minute walk from the traditional lavak oven, mini market, café, etc. As for the view of the house it is magnificent as it looks very well in the photos! Giannis and his family are incredibly hospitable, helpful and available, but discreet at the same time. We were thrilled with John before we got home well when he asked if we wanted something to be in the house when we arrived (eg milk for the little boy etc). There was flexibility at the time of arrival and departure. We would also like to thank Mrs. Voula (Giannis' mother), who is a very sweet and nice physiognomy that even our 2.5 year old son was looking for her until the day we left! We felt very nice and it was like staying in our own home in the village!”
The house is located on the edge of the village, 200 meters from the square. Accessible by car on a paved narrow street 150 meters from the provincial road of Lafkos - Milina. Built in traditional style in lush gardens of herbs, flowers and vegetables.
“The house is located at the end of the village but a 5-minute walk from the so-called Lafkos plateau. You have to make a detour to the Milina road to get there but the explanations for are very clear and easy to find. The view of the south Gulf side Pelion is really impregnable and Sonia, when she is there (she lives in Volos and comes on weekends but moves to accommodate travelers) is a perfect hostess (and his pitas as well as his bread are excellent) according to the Greek tradition which is not lost everywhere. Very pleasant house on the side of the hill (Sonia rents the first and second floor- where the Best bedroom is- and lives downstairs. The perfect hostess in the Best Greek tradition. Here is the place to visit South Pilio, the atmosphere in Lafkos is much more than the seaside springs.”
