This beautiful cabin is in the hills of southern Ohio and includes the use of a 4 acre lake and 5 boats. Very private and remote, no neighbor houses can be seen. Great fishing for bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish. Shelter house near lake with 2 picnic tables and fire pit and free firewood. Sleeping for 4 adults kids(or more); two twin beds and one adult bunkbed, plus loft with kids bunkbed. Full kitchen with all utensils, appliances, etc. Also, cornhole and great amish shopping nearby.
“We hope to revisit again for sure! It’s nothing “fancy” but just what we expected for a hunting cabin type feel. The property was cleared well for exploring and access to the pond. Pond was great for fishing and catching frogs. Cabin is cozy, clean and humble. Jumbo jenga, board games and corn hole were great options for parts of the day that it rained. If you have mobility issues, accessing the pond may be harder as the hill is a bit steep but we managed just fine (including the kids aged 2-6.) Just plan your trips down there so you don’t have to run back and forth a lot. The property is absolutely beautiful, the porch is a dream and our family had an amazing time with no complaints at all! We had 4 adults, 4 kids and an infant and we all enjoyed ourselves and the space. Tim was awesome with communication and offering himself as a resource if we needed anything. Also grateful for the extra fans and baby gate!”
Quiet cabin with a lake view! Enjoy this amazing retreat. The rustic wood beams, hardwood floors, and stone wood burning fireplace add to the charm of the fishing bear lodge. You will have access to our docks where you can go swimming, fishing and even kayaking. During the summer months we do have rafts available to use as well in the lake. Life jackets and fishing poles are available at the lodge for you. After a fun filled day relax in the hot tub as you listen to the sounds of nature.

Our cabin has a Microwave and small fridge and has a shower. They have a queen size bed and a futon. We include clean bed sheets pillows and Toilet tissue. You will need to have soap and towels and BLANKET. Please bring anything you think you may need. Due to Covid-19 we are currently following Highland County Health Department Guidelines so everything will be clean disinfected as usual and we are asking everyone to practice Ohio guidelines of social distancing. “A perfect, secluded, quiet community of cabins away from cell service and close to two big state parks. We loved the cabin for two people and a dog. The cabin was clean and, as someone else said, "critter free". The only hiking places we could find close by were closed d/t COVID (understandable), but there is still plenty to do for a weekend. Recommend bringing a volleyball/cornhole bags if those are your thing.”
