“If you want to feel at home on Chile, this is the place. Berta and her husband are very warm and friendly and will make sure your stay is comfortable. The location is close to the road leading to the high mountains and Argentinian border so you can go hiking at Laguna del Inca or cross the border to visit the Aconcagua park.”
VERY NICE CABINS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CORDILLERA 20 minutes from Portillo ski center
“Beautiful place, the view is amazing. We were lucky to be alone and that there was no one in the other cabin. The pool for fun. All very well equipped. Store 10 minutes walking. We want to come back.”

“This is a basic cabin with no frills. Good location for skiing at Portillo....it still takes about 40 minutes to drive (due to windy roads and truck traffic), but you will not get any closer than this if the hotel on site is full. There was enough room for the three of us, and probably could have slept 1-2 more if our group was bigger. This place was a great value. Note that the road to get to the cabin is a little tricky....you will want to have a car that can handle gravel and steep hills, but not too big of a car, due to the tight turns and narrow road. We didn't experience snow, but I am sure that chains would be required for the tires if there is snow or ice. Note to those who don't speak Spanish: The owners of the property speak English and are available via phone or WhatsApp to answer questions, but the neighbor who will be letting you in and helping get things set up only speaks Spanish. Make sure he shows you how to get the heat and hot water operating. It's simple, but might not be intuitive if you haven't stayed in a place like this before. It was very helpful that there were notes in the house in English.”
