Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lanark Highlands

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Dillon's house. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels. The hot tub added an extra special element to out stay and it was spacious and just lovely. Dillon even treated us to a voucher at a local pizza restaurant which was such a lovely touch and we had a brilliant time!

The place was beautiful, well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and offered stunning views. Emily was a thoughtful host—she had arranged firewood for the fire pit and stocked the kitchen with a great selection of coffee and other essentials. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and cozy getaway!

We were a masters xc ski team in for some races and the House and Host were amazing. The house was cozy; they had the fire going for our arrival and the kitchen was set up to cook for our large group. The host was very attentive to help us get to where we needed to go during the snow storm, digging us out every day. The house had a wonderful character about it and made us all feel comfortably at home. We will rent this place again for our next trip/race to the area.

We had a great stay in Monica's space! It was comfortable, cozy, and quiet, and the kitchen and bathrooms especially had a thoughtful selection of items you might need while on a trip. When we needed something during our stay, Monica was proactive and helpful. She's also kind and friendly, and she communicated with us while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. The home itself is walking distance to the downtown area, and it was great to be able to explore the cute shops on foot. We really felt the hospitality and would stay again!

We were very satisfied with our stay. Joy was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful, which made it very convenient. The house was very nice, clean and spacious. Vili was welcoming and so helpful. She anticipates every need and when asked for suggestions for dining and kids activities, her recommendations were excellent. The house is beautiful and exactly as advertised. No surprises! I give Vili the highest and strongest rating possible.

This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

A bit of a drive but well worth the peace and quiet of this beautiful cabin in the woods! My friends and I spent our weekend kayaking, puzzling, and BBQing. Mike was so responsive and everything was very smooth. Would definitely come back!

Our stay with Jean-Paul and Monique was absolutely extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and at home. The accommodation itself was pristine, beautifully decorated, and had every comfort imaginable – truly a five-star experience. What truly made our trip exceptional, however, was the incredible hospitality of Jean-Paul and Monique. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, offering fantastic local recommendations and genuine warmth. And of course, their sweet little dog, Charlie, was an absolute charm! He greeted us with wagging tails and made our stay even more delightful. We cannot recommend this Airbnb highly enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience with truly wonderful hosts and a charming furry friend, look no further. We can't wait to return!

Very spacious comfortable accommodation. No easy place to go for a walk other than the main road, and driving required for food and drink.

I had a fantastic stay at Scott's Airbnb! He was incredibly helpful and responsive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When we had an issue with the pool lights in the evening, Scott promptly came over to assist, which we greatly appreciated. His communication and dedication made our experience truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying with Scott and would definitely book again!

Angela's place is great for a group getaway, she was helpful and easy to communicate with.

We went here for a family vacation and this peaceful abode by the lake is something we needed more than what we expected. It was relaxing, silent and within the nature. The hot tub is a magical added luxury. There are enough life jackets for you to try and go for some paddle boating by the lake. And for people who enjoys a good campfire at night like me, they had an amazing spot with loads of wood to light an amazing campfire. All in all we got what we expected and enjoyed every bit of it.

We stayed for a quick weekend getaway to get some R&R. Joe's place was just what we needed. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. The cabin is tiny, as advertised, but we travel light so it was no problem for us. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy, and Sharbot Lake is a quick 10 min down the highway. The outdoor shower at the site is THE BEST - nature at your back and hot water on demand. The composting toilet was a little daunting at first, but Joe provides super clear instructions and it turned out to be the best campsite bathroom of all time. We'll be going back next time we need a break from traffic and skyscrapers.

Such a lovely place to get away to. Best view of the stars, close to Algonquin Park, every amenity you could ask for. This is our second time going, we'll come again. And we have recommended to friends.

Staying in this bunkie was such a treat that we went back again! The location feels secluded and peaceful, and the bunkie itself is perfectly cozy. I loved being able to easily enjoy nature and wildlife. Jenna is a fantastic host – super friendly and always on top of things. Highly recommend!

I stayed here before and, as said in my first review, I'm happy to come back whenever I'm in Calabogie! Check-in is easy, the place is clean and it has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

I couldn't be more thankful to Sean for opening up this gorgeous cabin/house for us on the most amazing river. The house is immaculate, trust me I'm an airforce brat! The Sofa and chairs invited you ti relax as long as you want in deep comfort, and the lovely extra blankets and cushions are just wonderful. At night, the firepit and the comfy chairs kept us all smiling. The screened tent is fantastic for sitting right beside the river. The stones at the water's edge are flat and smooth mostly, great for getting your feet wet. And the best part of all, the wonderful sound of the river, which you can hear from the front door. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the wildlife. Ducks, Robin's, yellow finches, hummingbirds, and more. The chipmunks are adorable as well. MY friends and I were sincerely impressed and had an amazing stay.
