Holiday houses in Lamb Island

Our two-week family gathering at Rudi’s was one of our most treasured holidays—a soul-deep kind of rest. The home is a haven: serene, beautifully appointed, and nestled in nature. We were the first to enjoy the newly renovated kitchen, its windows framing the forest like a painting. Mornings began with coffee strolls through the garden, following the sound of the stream through ferns and Douglas firs, ending in breakfast on the deck with glimpses of seals and otters. Days were filled with kayaking, hiking (Pike Trail was a favourite), biking, reading and simply being. The Scandinavian bedding, the comfort of every room, the scent of cedar in the air—it all exceeded expectations. Rudi, Matt, and Maia were warm, thoughtful hosts—always available, never intrusive. Sunset Cove quickly became our favourite place, more compelling than any day trip. We leave rested and grateful, already dreaming of returning.

This place was perfect for my husband, dog and I. We loved the ocean view and access in the back of the property and it was easy to unwind here after a long travel day. One of the really nice parts is that you're only a 17 min walk from town. You can walk along the highway to get there but there is no sidewalk for most of the way. With our spirited dog, we found a quieter way by turning left onto Terrett Street and walking along Lanark Road. By the time Lanark Road ends you can go back up to Sooke road and there is a sidewalk. Tiffiny was also a great host. She was very responsive and proactive when we had questions about the bedroom ceiling fan. She even brought over a stand alone fan for us. We loved our stay at Walker’s. His place was beautiful, clean, no-clutter, beautifully designed and a perfect location. We were able to find and see all of the spots on the Island with easy access from Walker’s place. It is by far the nicest AirBnB we have stayed in. Thank you Walker & Joe!

This was truly one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever experienced. The house was immaculately clean and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was spotless and stocked with top-notch amenities, and the bedroom and linens were incredibly comfortable and fresh. The heating system worked perfectly, and the towels were clean and soft — everything in the house felt well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the electric vehicle charger, which made our trip even more convenient. The breathtaking view of the ocean and the chance to see the tide come in and out so closely added a magical touch to our stay. It was a perfect, relaxing, and romantic getaway — we highly recommend it, especially for couples celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary. This was my first time in the area. The drive is very quiet a relaxing. It is very quiet and we felt at home right away. The place was one of the cleanest I’ve experienced on Airbnb. The kitchen had enough appliances and accessories to allow us to cook a few meals. My kids loved the fact they had their own beds in their own room. The bathroom had real good soap and shampoo, it had plenty of towels and the shower head was really good. We used some of the games available and enjoyed watching some movies. I recommend the place for sure

John and Julie's place is quite spacious, exceeding our expectations. The kitchen contained everything we needed to make meals. The teabags and coffee were a nice extra. We appreciated the unscented laundry detergent and the large stainless steel laundry tub. The backyard was lovely for relaxing and listening to the birds. We enjoyed walking to the corner grocery store and My Chosen Cafe & Pizza; and Broken Paddle coffee shop was excellent. The host provided ample bedding and extra towels. I really appreciated the binder that provided guidance about the place and local tips. We had a little trouble unlocking the first time but then it was easy once we figured it out. We would certainly be happy to return to John and Julie's place the next time we're on Vancouver Island.

Jenna's home was a nice quiet place in a safe neighborhood for us to unwind after a long day of training at UVIC (about 30 min drive away). We were greeted with snacks upon arrival and check in/out was very easy! We also appreciated the extra cot she provided - would recommend for anyone traveling in the Victoria area by car 🙂
