Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Lakeside

Selvi’s home was lovely, very spacious, quiet, clean, private, safe, with beautiful surroundings. Last year we stayed at a different Airbnb that was the size of the bathroom here and paid more than we did for this. It was a wonderful experience!

Our home away from home. The property was conveniently located to major stores. It is 30 minutes to the San Diego Zoo, Birch Aquarium, and Sesame Street. The house is very spacious and brings in light energy. Our family loved the beds and comfy pillows which can make or break a vacation. The bathrooms were spacious and worked conveniently with the needs of our family, especially the Bluetooth speaker😁. The backyard was our favorite! Beautiful space during the day with plenty of space for our 3 year old to run. Serene and chill views in the evening. We 100% recommend this property for your family. And would definitely stay again.

If you're currently looking for a place to stay in the San Diego area and have kids, stop looking. This is the place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's property. Kids Paradise was ideal for our young ones, and thanks to Carrie’s thoughtful preparations, we had everything we needed for a comfortable experience. This made it possible for our children to have a wonderful vacation, while also allowing us parents to relax. I highly recommend this accommodation for families with children of all ages. We look forward to the possibility of staying at one of her other properties in the future.

Leigh was friendly and helpful. The place was very private and had a great outdoor area. The inside area was open and felt spacious. This was perfect for our visit with family in the area.

We had an incredible stay at Miguel’s Airbnb! The highlight was definitely the pool – it was sparkling clean and well-maintained. Everything was exactly as described, and Miguel was a fantastic host, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, private and hassle-free getaway!

This house was perfect for our family gathering. The backyard is amazing and we really enjoyed the bocce ball court, grill and outdoor seating.

Jeff’s place was in a great location in the middle of San Diego. The place was immaculate. He obviously is serious about the upkeep of his property and the happiness of his guests. I contacted him that we would be arriving pretty late on our first night so he made sure to leave the light on for us. Entry was always easy with the electronic locking system. Water pressure in the showers was awesome and we wanted for nothing. Thanks Jeff!

WOW! I can’t say enough good things about Birdhouse and Billy & Jim as hosts. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! They were so communicative and beyond accommodating. No ask was too big for them and if they were able to make it happen they did so in a heartbeat. They let us drop off our luggage early and gave us a late check out! The Airbnb was everything from the pictures and MORE and was also in the best location!! There were snacks & waters for us and every room was decorated so cute it was amazing. It was filled with everything you could possibly need for your stay. I went with my friends for my Bach and it was perfect and spacious and so fun and the backyard was so beautiful. We went hot tubbing and it was so nice and the lights in the backyard set such a fun mood. The mural in the backyard is stunning and we took many fun pictures there. I’m running out of characters available but if you’re going to San Diego stay at the birdhouse!! Thanks Billy & Jim for the best trip!!!

This home was perfect for our intergenerational family gathering. There was space (and enough bathrooms) to accommodate all of us without being in each other's way but also being able to gather in our larger family group when needed. The location with views of the mountains was relaxing and reenergizing for the holiday with family members coming from all over. Although there were various spaces throughout the house, the kitchen area was a definite gathering space and accommodated well for people to be together and doing different things: cooking and preparing a meal, sitting and chatting, working on a laptop, reading in the family room not too far away. I appreciated the communication prior, throughout, and after our stay.

Beautiful property and surroundings. Loved all of the plants and fruit trees around the property! The pool and hot tub were well kept and we had a blast! We were a big group, I loved how many lounge areas this property had. We never felt cramped or like we didn’t have space/chairs for everyone. Beds were super comfortable - way more comfortable than you usually expect at a rental. The host was super responsive and it seemed like they had thought of everything!

The house was perfect to have family over to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from UCSD. The house is beautiful and very well equipped to accommodate a large group. Thank you!

This place was the perfect spot for my bachelorette party. I have truly not had a more perfect Airbnb stay than this one! The house felt so private and secluded so we felt very safe in the gated property. The management team was the best I’ve ever seen (and I love luxurious spots and I work in hospitality.) it was truly 5/5 stars. They were immediately responsive, they fixed any issues immediately and they were very generous with their time and amenities. This is the perfect house. Only note I would have is maybe there should be more towels available for guests - we were a little limited on towels. Thank you!!!!!

We, a group of 9 people, enjoyed our 2-day stay at Liam and Mia's, a beautiful villa with swimming pool, hot tub, pool table etc. Good organic supermarket nearby and 20 minutes drive to downtown San Diego. Liam and Mia responded very quickly to our questions. We can definitely recommend this villa.

The house was perfect for a family vacation. My kids loved the pool and play area. The hosts were very responsive with questions. Something was going with the fridge and the water/ice maker and the fridge kept beeping especially at night, but that was really the only issue. Plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely stay again

The villa on the hill is a hidden gem that I would gladly go back to. The views were breathtaking from just about any spot on the property. One of my favorite parts about the whole villa stay was sitting in the hot tub watching the sun set in the evening. The villa itself was just as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside. The owners keep it very clean and stocked with cooking utensils if needed. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Southern California, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and spacious place to stay.

This villa was perfect for our wedding weekend at Mt Woodson Castle. It was only 4 minutes away! All amenities we could possibly need was provided. The view from the back of the villa was breathtaking. There were 2 jacuzzis that we wished we had time to use. Would definitely want to return again someday to just relax and enjoy the villa. The hosts were super friendly and responsive. Villa was easy to find thanks to very detailed instructions from the hosts.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming A-frame cabin! Spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and felt brand new. The AC was on when we arrived—such a thoughtful touch on a hot day. Communication with the host was excellent, and the welcome guide made everything super easy. The location is peaceful and private, perfect for bird watching by day and stargazing at night. The beds were comfy, the jacuzzi tub was sparkling clean, and the high-tech toilet (seat warmer + bidet!) was a fun surprise. We loved the collection of vintage records and board games—so cozy and nostalgic. Ideal for a romantic getaway but spacious enough for more guests. We’re already dreaming of our return!

This is one of those true gems you’re absolutely stoked to stumble upon. The minute we drove down the country lane and saw the house, my wife and I knew we had found a truly magical getaway. We both agree it’s one of the top three homes/properties we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing! Every square inch of the property is amazing. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is stocked and perfect for those who enjoy cooking. We cooked three of the four nights because we just loved the atmosphere and views so much! Our four year old absolutely loved exploring the trails, pond and backyard. The hot tub was in perfect condition. Rare! The awesome fire-pit on the balcony was perfect for making smores and staying warm while listening to the frogs sing while stargazing. We played games, watched movies and just had a perfect long weekend. The worst part was having to say goodbye! It was so peaceful, it’s going to be hard to beat such a good nights rest. Another week would have been nice!

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

An unforgettable stay — highly recommend! We had such a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and felt cozy yet spacious. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding and well-stocked kitchen to the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and made us feel completely at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

My family and I had such a wonderful time staying here during memorable day weekend. There was something for all of us to do. We fished at lake every day, a big plus for my husband as it was just a few short minutes away from the front door, to the quality time we had inside the house playing pool, to the top tier coffee machine that allowed me cozy mornings on the patio listening to the birds with my husband, to the smores we made outside at the fire pit while gazing at the stars. The house is so beautiful and inviting, curated with such an eye for detail and warmth. We truly cannot thank you enough for sharing your home with us and we cannot wait to visit again soon one day.

My wife and I spent our anniversary at this lovely tree house cabin. We had wonderful weather which really made all of the exceptional views pop. The home was immaculate upon our arrival with a greeting card and lighted ambiance. The trails (3) on the property are fun to walk through. Everything we could have possibly needed was already awaiting us. The deck and bridge are absolutely amazing, and the privacy is everything we had hoped for. It felt like we were the only cabin there. The drive to the lake is so close, and in the pictures the lake appears further than it really is. The hot tub was great as well as relaxing and if we had a question, both Rick or Maria would respond immediately. The drive into town was easy and the steps on both sides of the cabin will keep you in shape. They have storage should you need it for extra luggage as the room is small, so keep it as open as you can. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin nestled on the mountain, and Rick is a wonderful host!

Really, really fantastic house!! So happy I stumbled across this looking for a last minute vacation. I think this place is usually booked up (and I understand why) because it's so private and lovely. My partner and I went from Wednesday night to Friday morning - check in was the easiest and fastest we've had in a while, and the place looks exactly like the pictures/even better!! The hot tub was an amazing touch, the beds were comfortable, and the fireplace in the bathroom was something I had never experienced, and is now something I want/need in our own place. Thank you so much for an amazing get away!!
