Absolutely phenomenal stay at Lance and Karin’s home in Lake Wylie, South Carolina! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the modern old-day charm of the house — a perfect blend of cozy warmth and tasteful design. But what truly sets this place apart is the breathtaking view of the lake right in the backyard. Whether you’re into swimming, canoeing, or just lounging in the beach chairs by the water, there’s something incredibly calming about being so close to nature. And if that’s not enough, the large deck off the back of the house is ideal for sitting back, relaxing, and taking it all in. As someone who uses Airbnb regularly, I can honestly say this home is a 10 out of 10. My children and wife enjoyed every single minute — from the water activities to just spending quality time together in such a peaceful setting. Sweetwater cottage was such a cozy and relaxing spot. It is also close to local restaurants and shops. We came to the area to watch the Coca Cola 600 race. Georgia was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had.

Wonderful natural location, private and very convenient to Boone, while avoiding the congestion of going into/through town to get there. The home is beautifully decorated and clean; would definitely stay again and hopefully would have more time to enjoy the house and surrounding area!

We booked Greg and Lisa's place because it was very near to family we were visiting at Christmas. And, even though it was right in the middle of the busiest Holiday season Greg and Lisa were very responsive with any request or questions we had. We were quite pleasantly surprised to see the kitchen is more well equipped than how it appears in the photos. There is a new 2 burner induction cooktop as well as a small countertop oven. We were eating with family elsewhere, but I feel I could have prepared a full meal in the kitchen if I had needed or wanted to. We also appreciated how comfy the big sectional sofa was. It was perfect for cuddling and watching a movie with our daughter whom we hadn't seen for a long time. Thanks Greg and Lisa! We will probably be back!

John is “the” host! We had a great time in his property. The property has everything you need to have a great time. You can fish, swim in the pond, play pool, etc. John takes really good care of you, cannot ask for a better host!

Rick met us as we arrived, was very friendly, and showed us around the cabin and grounds. We'd stay there again.

Nestled away in the woods. Loved sitting on the porches listening to the creek instead of noisy neighbors and lake activity. Close to all amenities. Perfect location for a family who wants to be close to the action but also wants a retreat at the end of the day for early to bed kiddos.

This was a lovely house to stay in with our adult children and little grandchildren. There was a lot for everyone to do with the pool table, fire pit, corn hole, games, etc. The kitchen was more than adequate and the outdoor table was great as it fit all of us! We did see a small bear on the deck, but luckily nobody was outside when it came to visit. We enjoyed the children's pool (Trout Stream Pool) every day we were there! Great local restaurants including Lured Market & Legends. Highly recommend!

My husband and I needed some much-needed R&R and that is just what we got at this beautiful home. Loved the decor, the super comfortable couch and bed! We never made it to the Jacuzzi tub; however, the open shower was cool! Would defiantly recommend this romantic spot.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! The breathtaking mountain view was unbelievable, and the house itself was so cozy and comfortable, with comfy furniture and beds. The kitchen had everything we needed, even for our large group. Having access to Rumbling Bald was a fantastic bonus – we really enjoyed the indoor pool and mini-golf. Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in was smooth. We highly recommend this house for a peaceful family retreat. The only downside? Our kid was so sad when it was time to leave!!! Great place to stay. The lake was still not back up and running due to a natural disaster but that did not stop us from enjoying the pools and outdoor activities!

An Unforgettable Getaway – Highly Recommended! This place is an absolute gem! From the breathtaking location to the warm and welcoming hosts, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. If you’re considering a peaceful escape, don’t miss this one — it truly lives up to the hype. We enjoyed a relaxing vacation filled with outdoor adventures. We went kayaking, had a great time fishing (I even caught an 8” catfish on my very first try!), and ended our evenings with cozy bonfires under the stars. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The host went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed, all while giving us complete privacy throughout our stay. We made the drive all the way from Philadelphia, and I can confidently say it was more than worth it. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Hunters communication was excellent. He was flexible with check in & check out times (had to pay). If I could change one thing it would be the check-in & check-out times. It is not a hotel and should be more accommodating since this large of a rental is for many people, having late check in and early check out doesn’t make sense to me. Overall the home was beautiful, peaceful surroundings, we loved the home. I would love if more toilet trees were included not only 1 trash bag & 1 toilet paper per bathroom, for the price. I would rent again, felt safe and welcomed! Thank you hunter!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience than what we had at our recent stay at The Hideaway. My family decided to spend a few days on the lake to celebrate our son's high school graduation. We had four teen boys and several adults and two pups and everyone loved it. The home had everything we needed and it was so clean. We had plenty of towels, a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable bedding. The deck was my favorite place to be with the dock a close second. We rented a boat which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our teens took advantage of the ping pong table and did plenty of fishing off the dock. They also enjoyed the basement living area for their gaming in the evenings. Our dogs loved the yard and it was so nice to have a mostly fenced in yard to roam and play. I loved the fresh flowers in the kitchen when we arrived - such a nice touch. We loved our stay and hated to leave. Wishlist was great to work with and the home was absolutely perfect.

Staying at Melinda and Andy’s at Lake Lure is our family’s favorite summer tradition. This is our fifth summer and we look forward to it all year. Kayaking, floating, and swimming on the lake; family games and meals on the porch; seeing turtles, swimming with ducks, and catching lizards; outings to Chimney Rock, Asheville, and Black Mountain; hiking, lying or reading on the daybed porch swing; making a fire for s’mores lakeside. This is a special place and we are grateful to have made so many family memories here.

This was the perfect home to relax with family. Being on the lake and having access to the kayaks and paddle boards was amazing. We had a great time and we loved calling this place home for the week!
