Our stay with César and Mariela on the floating islands of the Uros was unforgettable. We stayed for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with warmth and care. The island is incredibly quiet and peaceful, and walking on it feels like stepping onto a giant waterbed made of reeds. At night we saw a ton of stars. The views of Lake Titicaca were breathtaking, and the stillness of the lake made it easy to fully unwind. The room was clean and cozy, and the food was very good. The meals were delicious. César took us on a boat tour to visit another Uros community, which was a meaningful and beautiful experience. César helped us with transport and made sure we had what we needed. A few tips: WiFi was somewhat slow, understandably, since you’re in the middle of Lake Titicaca. There’s a double USB plug but no standard outlet. Use bottled water (they provided one liter) for drinking and brushing your teeth. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb!

We zouden het iedereen aanraden om tot rust te komen bij Joel. Hij was een zeer goede host en heeft ons tijdens het verblijf goed verzorgd. 's avonds kregen we twee warm water kruiken om in bed te leggen voor moest het te koud worden. Op de dag van vertrek had hij op onze vraag een tour geregeld naar de Uros en Taquile eilanden. Van aankomst tot en met vertrek was alles goed geregeld.

The place was much larger than expected. Area was easy to travel to and from main tourist areas. Incredible view from main bedroom and outdoor space. Would stay again.

The hosts Luis, Maira and Maruja were generous and very welcoming. It is a beautiful place and easy to access from Puno. It may not be the most comfortable stay in the world but is certainly worth the price. We had a wonderful time!
