Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Lake Te Anau

We had a couple snafus on arrival (all of which were on my end) but I’ve never talked to a more responsive and helpful host. Any issue I had I was able to ask and she helped me figure it out (mostly because I had a hard time learning foreign appliances). This home reminded me a lot of my grandmothers house and I had many fond memories there. It truly felt like a home and not a borrowed location. Would definitely recommend this place to someone else. Thank you for letting us stay!

loved staying at Brenda's place. truly a home from home. had everything you could need for a stay. very clean, everything worked. quiet area, 2 minutes drive to downtown Te Anau. would highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Anna’s home is a beautiful, well-kept, and well proportioned house with an absolutely stunning view. We’ve stayed in lots of ‘tiny homes’ but Anna’s truly feels like a proper house, with a separate living room, bedroom, bathroom, and generous outdoor seating area. The home was pristine, and well stocked with everything we’d need. We particularly appreciated the binoculars for birdwatching on lake manapouri. Bed was large and comfy, we got great sleep with zero noise. Shower was hot with good power. We took a day trip to Doubtful Sound (absolutely spectacular; you must do), and we were able to walk from Anna’s place to the harbour, making the trip effortless. You can also take a short walk to lake manapouri and enjoy a swim. Anna was a wonderful host, and was very kind and considerate in her messaging. We loved staying in Anna’s place and would love to stay there again. 11 out of 10!

Fab place, super cosy with lots of heaters, exactly what we were after in winter (summer would be amazing too with that deck!).

My family really enjoyed staying at this very quaint home. It felt like Grandma's house. I especially loved the upstairs living room and the very spacious master bedroom. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. There's also a grassy park across the street for those with children. It is very close to the lake and shopping.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hui Hui House! The home was exactly as described—super clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. We especially loved the warm and inviting living room, the well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed, and the spacious, practical foyer that made settling in and coming/going so easy. The location is perfect—tucked away in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood that feels peaceful and relaxing, yet just a short drive to town with tons of shops, and restaurants. Mark and Alicia are wonderful hosts—very friendly, incredibly communicative, and it's clear they put a lot of love and care into the Hui Hui House. We truly felt at home and would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!

Beautiful home. Comfortable beds. Convenient to everything in town. On the lake. Easy to find. It was all good.

Great Spot- We stayed here for 1 night to break up our trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Definitely recommend!

Matt’s place was lovely - it was very clean and really warm which was great as it’s rather cold in June. It is modern and had everything that we needed for our stay - highly, highly recommend.

We had a great stay at this spacious studio right in the heart of Te Anau. The place was clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom which was spotless. One of the highlights was having access to a washer and dryer — such a convenience when traveling! Matt even went the extra mile and got a brand new dryer, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-equipped, centrally located place to stay.

5 stars does not do this apartment justice! Vicky was a superb host- exceeding expectations! The apartment was so thoughtfully designed & furnished. It’s incredibly beautiful - from the tub to the kitchen to the porch & views- it’s truly spectacular. I didn’t want to leave…

Dave was an awesome host! We were able to check in early and chat with him for a while. He was so kind to give us lots of recommendations for activities and places to eat at. His place was very clean and cozy with a great location. Highly recommend trying Milford road merchant if you choose to stay at Dave’s!

Great place to stay during my time in Te Anau. Kim at the front was lovely and gave great recommendations for the area. Would definitely stay here again!
