Holiday rentals with a patio in Lake Tawakoni

I’m so glad we went. It was one of our best weekend trips. Needed some peace and quiet. The property was well maintained and they really made us feel at home. Constantly making sure we had all we needed. We got to see their homestead and the beautiful craftsmanship and love that Doug had put into their home. It’s a place that you can go and spend some quality time with God and be near His beautiful country. We really feel like we made some great friends and will definitely return again. We originally went there to go to canton first Monday. Honestly we were only at Canton for around maybe 1 1/2hrs and spent the remainder at Connie and Doug’s place. It was so much fun staying in the studio apartment above the barn, just like in heartland! Thanks again for great conversations and friendship! Go check it out you won’t be disappointed!!

I booked another place with Elias but when I told him what was going on her moved my girls to another place closer to the hospital where I was having surgery. He didn't upcharge me and kept the reservation just as it was.

It was PERFECT. Very cozy, beautiful, comfortable, and Mario thought of EVERYTHING. He even provided a kennel in the living room to put our two dogs, a Chihuahua mix, and an Austrailian Shepherd, so we didn't have to lug our big kennels in from the truck. And the biggest deal for me: DIMMER SWITCHES! Do you know how many times I have wished for dimmer switches on lighting at AirBnB's? And Mario had them on EVERY ceiling light AND in the bathroom! I'm a blue-eyed guy, a little light sensitive at night and this and other features made me so comfortable! We had a dear friend over to dinner and Mario had everything in the kitchen we needed to cook grass-fed rib eye steaks! I found the bed extremely comfortable. No back problems at all the next morning. Heads up for some folks, it is a 3rd floor unit, which I loved because of the deck off the back, but for some you will need to take your time on the stairs. However, my friend's 80+ year old mother was able to make it up with some help.

Kay place was nice and looked like the pictures. It was clean and she was very responsive to any question we had. The only thing that she did not mention was it is 5 dollars a day to park at the apartment and we had 2 trucks there so we had to remember to log in and pay. Not a big deal or a deal breaker just would have been nice to know. If you like the lake and the bass pro shop its great and it close to othe attractions. We will stay again

It was perfect for our quick weekend to Tyler for a baseball tournament. The pool was very convenient on our off time when it was hot. Very quiet complex and it was very nice being able to bring our dog with us.

I really liked staying at the house for a month. It’s in middle of the woods, more private, there’s patio that you can sit and put up guard to let your dogs hang out in the patio. The shower is wonderful, one of the best shower ever. It’s really small, but it’s doable for one person with a dog or two. It’s a good place to get away. I can live in anywhere and I would stay here again.

Our stay in Tyler was nothing short of perfect! The home is nestled in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just minutes from some of the best restaurants and shops in town. The location truly couldn’t be better for exploring everything Tyler has to offer. The host was incredibly responsive and made us feel welcome from the moment we booked, always quick to answer questions and provide helpful local tips. What really set this home apart were the spa-like amenities—the private sauna and hot tub turned our getaway into a true relaxation experience. After a day out, unwinding in the hot tub or sauna made us feel like we were at a luxury spa. We can’t recommend this place highly enough for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of indulgence in Tyler!

This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed this weekend during the 2025 31st Skeeter Owners Tournament! Very accessible to the Boat House where we could keep the boat in the water and not have to load and unload throughout the day like we have in the past. The house was beautifully kept and the perfect size for our entire family of five. We hope to stay here again next year!

Overall we had a good stay, Check in and out instructions were clear, beautiful property on the lake, however the dock advertised in the listing is nothing like it is in pictures…. It is unusable because of the amount of spiders that call it home I’m sure it maybe hard to stay on top of keeping them out of the dock but necessary for full use of the property as advertised.

David and Chelsea's home was fantastic!!Great location, beautiful, and convenient. we went for a guided fishing trip and this place could not have been more perfect. As hosts Chelsea was on top of any questions and instructions were clear and very helpful. Looking forward to the opportunity of staying here again in the future.

The house is way larger than it appears! The backyard has plenty to do and it is excellent size. This is the perfect Airbnb for a family with young children. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. I actually grew up in this neighborhood and we come back once a month for work and we will be staying here again.

Great vacation! The pool is much larger than appears in the photos - our family of 4 enjoyed it very much several times. Right on the lake with lots to do - canoes provided. We had a lovely time and will definitely remember this location for future Gun Barrel City vacations. Highly recommended.

Charlene's place was perfect for our anniversary weekend. Her communication was great, and you can tell she truly cares about her guests. The house was comfortable, well decorated and exceptionally clean....not even a stray dust bunny under the bed!

Loved staying here apartment was great, lake was wonderful sat by it in the morning and at night! not only was the host responsive but also extremely helpful and friendly would definitely stay here again.

The place was everything I expected and then some! Clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The best part was the view Lake Ray Hubbard is just a two-minute walk from the back door. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. I’d definitely stay again!

This rental is outstanding. The condo was spotless and comfortable. The back porch is overlooking a beautiful and clean courtyard that looks like a town in Italy. Our host was responsive and answered any question we had! We will definitely be renting this place again in the future. Everything we needed was nearby….target, Starbucks, gas, great restaurants, and scenic walks!

I was a bit wary of getting an Airbnb as I normally stay at a hotel for this type of trip, but I wanted something more comfortable, convenient, and private this time around. I came across this place and it had everything I was looking for, with an extra bonus of an arcade cabinet (so fun). My stay at this place was great, it was exactly as described and very comfortable to stay. The owner Charles was very communicative, and responded right away. The instructions were very clear and organized threw out my stay. The check-in and check-out process was super easy as well. The place itself was very clean and looked just like it was on the listing. The beds were pretty comfortable, I would say on par with a nice hotel. Plenty of towels and linens if needed, as well as some starter supplies for the stay like soaps, cotton swabs, laundry detergent, and even a few snacks in the kitchen. Overall, the place was great and at a great price. I definitely would stay here again on my next trip.
