Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake of the Woods

A nice place to relax from everyday life. Very quiet and peaceful place by the lake. We really enjoyed the nature and wildlife. The house has everything you need, is clean and has a nice interior. I would like to come back in the future

We had a great weekend at this property. Everything was well stocked and clean. Lots of towels, extra blankets, and an extremely well stocked kitchen. Very beautiful property with lots of places to sit and hang out. Only issues we had were the floors were so creaky that they would wake people up. The bedrooms also have no blinds so I highly recommend bringing an eye mask.

Perfect place for the family to stay on our ice fishing trip. We definitely overpacked, because the house provided pretty much all the things we packed aside from food. The beds were really comfortable and the place was very clean! The owner was responsive, helpful, and very nice. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Little retreat reminds us of the importance of a place like this. To reappreciate what the wild has to share, not only the physical gifts, but the power to recharge the mind and ground the soul. Lovely spot to be integtated once again with the environment from which we all came!

This place was perfect for what we needed. Austin was very responsive and thoughtful before and during our stay. The house is very private with a beautiful yard. Could not recommend more!

Area was beautiful and secluded. Would recommend getting groceries on the way because the stores are far. It’s a bit of a walk to the lake and there’s no parking there. The property is very nice and the hot tub and lake are amazing! Some of the cleaning could’ve been better but the host was responsive and made sure to pass that on to the cleaning crew. The host was helpful and responsive. Make sure to drink from the water cooler because the tap water smells like gas.

Beth’s place was a wonderful little break for us. The lake and surroundings were peaceful and beautiful and the cabin was the perfect spot for my busy family of 6! The tree swing and hammocks were a huge hit with my kids and we even braved a canoe ride with a few of them. 😂 We loved sitting out at the fire at nights and having fun s’mores. Beth was super responsive and very accommodating and had some great recommendations for fishing and local places to visit. House was very well stocked, with extras in the kitchen and bedrooms and she even had rain jackets we could use if needed! We will definitely come stay again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. Lynn and Davis were very responsive and were kind enough to bring toys over for my children to play with. We loved the yard and the outdoor activities (frisbee and croquet). The house was perfect for my family and my kiddos enjoyed watching the chickens. We were also pleasantly surprised that there was a dryer in the house as it was not listed on the amenities. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book this place again if we were in the area and would recommend it.

This was my second time in this apartment, and I'm sure I'll be back for more. It's a great quiet, comfortable space. The price compared favorably to hotels in Thief River Falls, and I made a pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving dinner for two with the full-size stove/oven. Thanks!

Another wonderful stay at Megan’s place. We visit the area quite often and always stay at Megan’s because of the clean, comfortable accommodations and the friendly, proactive service.

This was our third AirBNB in this area and we agreed it was our favourite. Very well laid out for 2 couples. Great kitchen and dining space for cooking meals together. Beautiful bathroom. The hot tub and fuse ball table were lovely perks! So was the gas fireplace. We could keep the space at a comfortable temperatures Although there was not a lakeside view from inside, a quick 30 second walk around the house got us there. Beds were comfortable - one room had a softer mattress than the other which accommodated different preferences. Instructions were very clear with lots of local recommendations. We would come back!

We were very pleasantly surprised with how spacious and well appointed this 2-bedroom was. The space worked great for our family of six, and the hosts were kind about our boisterous little boys. (Thank goodness it was above the garage.) All of the included extras were so nice. We ended up having more downtime than we'd planned, and the multiple TV's w/ streaming packages included were super handy. We were there on a very cold weekend and it was fabulous to be able to park mere steps from the front door. It was just a short drive into town for our activities, food and such. We'd stay again and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful, beautiful cabin right on the water. The setting was incredibly relaxing — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. The host was very accommodating, flexible, and super responsive, which made everything easy from start to finish. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and we truly appreciated the quiet atmosphere. We definitely plan to stay here again! The only downsides were the beds and pillows — they were quite uncomfortable and could use an upgrade. Also, there weren’t any condiments or basic toiletries like shampoo or conditioner, which we’ve usually found at other Airbnbs. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind so you’re prepared. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back (this time with a foam mattress topper in hand!).

This A-frame cabin is clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was bigger inside than I had anticipated for an A-frame. It is located in the woods with the hosts' house just across the way. It was nice to know they were there, especially since this cabin is quite a distance from any town. The hosts respected our time and privacy, but they made us feel comfortable to ask for anything should we have needed it. Instructions for everything were spelled out clearly and left on the table for us. The cabin had nice decor inside with cute little touches. We used this cabin as a base camp as we checked out state parks in the region. It was perfect for us. Scott and Terri (and dog Olive) are great hosts. ***** 5 Stars.

We had a fantastic weekend and are so glad we chose this cabin! Easy parking and a quick snowmobile ride from shore, and we especially appreciated the flexible check-in, check out, and responsive communication before and during our stay. The space was comfortable and had a lived in feel, like home away from home (games, books, throw blankets, night lights, etc). The kitchen and pantry had everything we needed and then some, the beds were comfortable, there were ample hooks and storage spaces for our gear, and plenty of room to share meals, puzzle, and chat. The space has incredible views, and is very private and quiet...this was an awesome weekend escape for ice fishing and unplugging. The sauna was fantastic and we wished we had at least one more day. Would love to come back any time of year!!

Was an amazing trip

Loved my stay! Very last minute booking but had no issues getting in and settled by the time I got there. Cute spot nice and quiet.

We did a couples trip and loved this space! The view was even better in person. Plenty of sun (and shade) on the deck, golf courses nearby, and a kitchen with everything we needed. Katherine and Chris were so kind and responsive throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay greatly. We had a 5 month old with us who used the high chair and pack and play that was available. The sunsets were amazing and we saw a lot of wildlife, including pelicans during our stay. We would certainly stay again.
