Beachfront holiday rental in Lake Nicaragua

We had a very nice stay at Casa Pocahontas and felt right at home. The house is decorated with a lot of love and is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Playa Maderas. We spent a lot of time in the open living area with the huge terrace. A great place to relax, read a book or watch the wildlife in the jungle. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were well equipped. There was even a yoga mat and blackrolls. If we had any questions, Sebastian was always available and due to the keybox the check in/out was very flexible and uncomplicated. We can only recommend the Casa and would definitely come back again.

I loved Maria's place, not only was it nice and cozy, it was very clean, and you were nice and secluded. the place is pristine. It looks exactly like the photos. Maria was very responsive and want to help. She got me in contact with everyone needed to make my vacation even better. The people there are very friendly. I will definitely come back here. My time in Popoyo was made.

Bella’s place was absolutely beautiful — we stayed for a week and felt right at home. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Beginner’s Bay, an ideal spot for surfing, and conveniently next door to The Salty Koala, a cozy and welcoming restaurant where we ended up grabbing late-night bites more than once. The space itself is stylish, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A special shoutout to Petrona who had a contagious smile and was super helpful with upkeep during our stay. We’re already looking forward to booking again next year! One thing to note for remote workers: the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty at times and there were a few short power cuts during our stay. It didn’t impact our vacation, but something to keep in mind if you need a super reliable connection. Otherwise, it’s an A+++ stay.

You are paying for the location. The location and the size of the property cannot be beat. There’s plenty of room for kids to run around. It is clean and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen had a new sponge which hasn’t been the case at other Airbnbs. And the pool is quite nice! It would be nice if there were a few more kitchen amenities like lids for the pots and seasonings. It would also be nice if the trash in the yard was picked up in case there are children running around barefoot. There were some pop tops/bottle tops. But you cannot beat how close it is to the water. It felt like a private resort.

Had the most wonderful time at Jean and Coco’s beautiful Airbnb! It’s a luxurious stay that still maintains the vibe of this beautiful country. The property manager on site helped us with everything we needed and answered any questions we had. You’re so close to the beach which felt like a private oasis! If you’re thinking of staying in the area you should definitely book this Airbnb!!

Freek was an amazing host. He helped us understand the surf breaks, helped tell us where to rent vehicles, and also helped with restaurants. He was great. The staff in the Amahula resort were awesome too! This house is beautiful and the pool makes the trip 10x better. There is amazing privacy inside and outside of this house. With a nice living space inside as well as a great patio and pool outside…and outdoor showers. And right next to it you can go to the bar to hang out! Right out front is the beach. Amazing surf breaks within walking distance. Nothing short of awesome, we hope to be back!

The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

Helen and Lee are fantastic hosts. Their apartment was exactly as described and the images bang on. Messaging Helen and Lee was an absolute breeze. We never had to wait for a response which is great when you don't have roaming cell service and wifi can be limited outside the apartment. The apartment itself was very comfortable and really clean and had everything we needed. The grounds and pool were beautiful and very well kept. I would absolutely stay there again. It was lovely staying at Mary Jane’s home in SJDS. It was our first time in the town, and luckily we were there during Semana Santa (week leading up to Easter) and we love to partake in the nightlife scene! There was tons to do and the Nicas definitely know how to have a good time. It was great that the home was in the heart of town yet it was quiet and secluded in its own way. The pool was refreshing and fun, especially after a hot day. The nearby restaurant Dale Pues quickly became our go-to, with its delicious food and low prices. Mary Jane was very helpful in setting up transportation, excursions, and restaurant recommendations. We loved going to Ometepe and Playa Hermosa. Thanks Mary Jane!!

The perfect getaway from the city’s hustle and bustle! Everything was spotless, and the host was amazing—super responsive and genuinely friendly.

Casa Pura Vista was so good to us! The location within Rancho Santana is both unique and convenient. We loved being entirely secluded yet having the amenities of a world class resort. Everything was easy to manage from booking airport transfers to offsite tours. Daniel and his contacts make your stay easy and comfortable. We surfed, saw sea turtle hatchlings, rode horseback, ziplined, and made the best family memories in the infinity pool. The house itself is well appointed with all the comforts of a modern home. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay again.

If you are looking for a private oceanfront accommodation, I recommend this place. It is quiet, spacious, and has a comfortable atmosphere. The ocean is within walking distance, and you can use the resort's facilities, such as restaurants! If you are looking for the most beautiful beach in Nicaragua, I recommend this place.

Beautiful location and view! Dominic was very friendly and gave us so many good recommendations. The place was very cute and clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable and fun stay! We definitely recommend to anyone who wants to surf Santana’s to stay here because it’s about a 10 minute walk and so fun! We appreciated the awesome hospitality and look forward to returning in years to come.

Linda is a great host. She communicated with us before we arrived, arranged transportation to her place and tours with the friendly locals. She even gave us eggs laid by her chickens. She made us feel very welcome 🤗

Carolina is a sweet and attentive host. She has put a lot of work into the beautiful details of Casa Salvaje. We loved the outdoor kitchen and shower, neighbouring animals, and sunsets!

The location was super beautiful! We loved hanging out on the balcony. At night we heard a bunch of howler monkeys which was cool. Would stay again.

This place is heaven! The house is beautiful and the patio is incredible. On the beach with a patio offering bbq, hamac, direct access to pool and access to the beach. They even had a kids table and toys. Master bedroom is just Wow, with view to the ocean. Kids loved the bunk beds. Hot water and a/c. Close town, we would definitely come back!

I felt very comfortable in the Salitre. I was even allowed to put my belongings in the fridge before checking in. The house is spacious, well furnished and has everything you need. It is only a 2-minute walk to the beach. I thought it was great that I was able to bring my small dog easily. The managers take care of them warmly. Overall, I felt very comfortable in the house. I'd love to come back to Salitre...

This place is an absolute gem! If you're looking for a peaceful escape and a genuinely good time, this is the spot. Carolina is a fantastic host—thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly welcoming. Her amazing team is always available and quick to respond to any needs, which made us feel completely at ease. Most importantly, we felt safe and cared for the entire time. Skip the crowded hotels and lodges around San Juan—this is where you want to be. We'll be coming back every chance we get!

That’s a perfect house for all surfers to stay at. It is located 2-3 min walk from the Maderas Beach, arguably one of the best places to catch dope waves in Nicaragua. Dunia was always very proactive and quick to reply. The place itself matches the description. I stayed there for a couple of nights and will definitely come back again.
