PETE’S PLACE

Farm Cottage near Steep Rock. Cottage is 7 km (6-8 min drive) to the village of Steep Rock, and is a paved highway (currently under construction 2026) It's a great area for canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the lake, swimming and photography. Cottage has a deck with a BBQ, and a fire pit and hammocks in the yard. In Winter you can cross country ski or snowshoe on the property. Occasionally you can see the northern lights, generally in Winter. There is now also a sauna for guests.

This guest suite with a private entrance, is attached to our main house, where your hosting family lives. It's located in a quiet part of town tucked into the trees with a river and walking path across the street. It would be perfect if your travelling here for work or just need a relaxing getaway. This guest suite was once a chicken coop, now turned into a modern mid-century style house that we lovingly have called the Hobbit House because of it's low ceilings.

We have spent 35 years loving this place: tranquility in nature, breath taking sunsets, sandy main beach, clear water and the one of a kind amazing cliffs. Adventure awaits or maybe you just need to unplug, hide away to paint or write a book. VERY RELIABLE INTERNET ALLOWS FOR WORK FROM HOME OPTION. You can not feel stressed here at "Our Neck of the Woods". We are a 2 minute walk to beach.
