We had the best time! Amazing house and host. The heated pool and fenced in backyard were perfect for enjoying family time. The entire house was very clean and organized with everything we needed. The host was extremely proactive with communications and responsive for the few things we needed. Highly recommended!

The condo was well maintained and included everything our family of 4 needed to have a good time. The facility offered shuttles to the distant parking area which was appreciated. The location is beautiful. Onsite food selection at the pantry is minimal, definitely recommend grocery shopping prior to arrival. The location is 20-30 minutes from attractions in Boone.

Patrick was a wonderful host! Very responsive whenever we had a question or need. The location was perfect for a family vacation, readily accommodating seven adults and four grandkids, ages 1 to 8. Fabulous views of the lake from the house and pool deck. Our grandkids caught many fish from the dock, including a couple of nice catfish. The kayaks were easy to launch and retrieve, and our 22 foot boat fit nicely alongside the outer dock. Five stars in all regards!

Loved our stay at Kyles place! Such a fun house with tons of space and super walkable to South End area! Will definitely come back :)

Pool was a hit with the boys we had staying. In town for a race at Trackhouse so location was great. Tracy was very accommodating allowing an early check in to drop groceries as the house was already clean. Comfortable beds. Would stay again for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay! Great spot for families, very private and peaceful. Good location, close to all the hiking, fishing and things to do in Boone. Appreciated the instructions on all the appliances. Connie was very accommodating and responsive. Would love to come back another time, especially with the pool opening up with the warmer weather!

How can I give more than 5 stars?? This place was breathtaking!!! Pictures didn’t do this place justice, so I know my words won’t.. from the fully stocked kitchen to the squeaky clean rooms, to the most stunning view I’ve ever seen…. This place is a masterpiece! Communication was top tier. On arrival, we noticed they forgot to leave our logs for our fire that we’d paid for in advance. Within hours, the logs were dropped off right to our doorstep. We made smores and brought our own metal smores sticks. Bring that was one of the things the Airbnb didn’t have, We decided to leave our metal smores sticks for other guest to enjoy in the future. Kitchen had top notch cooking pots, pans, dishes, and seasonings. Bring your own paper towels though as they only provide you with one roll regardless how long your stay is.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Skipping Stones Getaway with our family of five. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat—surrounded by beautiful views and the kind of quiet that instantly helps you unwind. Christie and Donaven have thought of everything. The house was fully stocked with all the essentials (and then some). From extra phone charging cables to those little items you might forget to pack, it was clear they’ve put a lot of care and attention into making guests feel at home. We spent our days out on the lake kayaking, soaking up the calm and beauty of the surroundings, and our evenings enjoying quality time together around the fire. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Skipping Stones Getaway is the kind of place you want to return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down, recharge, and make lasting memories in a truly lovely setting.

This home is one of the best we have ever stayed at. It is beautiful, well appointed and perfect in every way. So quiet and peaceful yet close to shopping and great restaurants. Easy ride to Blowing Rock and Boone. Sit on the back porch for morning coffee and enjoy the sunrise and the front porch for evening sunsets. We appreciate Amanda sharing her home. THIS is how you do an Airbnb! The house was perfect for our family of five as our base while we were in the area for a graduation. I wish we could have stayed longer. When your teenage boys comment (more than once) about how nice the house is, you have definitely found the right place. Ashley was a great host; I hope we can find our way back to the area again and visit our new alpaca friends.

My family and I stayed at Austin’s home for a Father’s Day getaway and it did not disappoint. Austin’s house was exactly as pictured. Super clean, had all the things I needed away from home, and was so peaceful. My kids did not want to leave as his house provided them with all things outdoors that we don’t typically do. They enjoyed fishing, campfires, paddle boarding, jumping off the dock onto this floating island mat, touring Lake Norman on his beautiful boat and best of all having a BLAST on the water tube. My husband and I appreciated the relaxing hot tub while taking in all the beauty of the lake. Austin was so quick to respond to my questions and was just a joy!! We shared some special bonding time together as a family because Austin’s house provided the perfect space to do so. We would absolutely come back and stay at his place in the future.

We were visiting our son at Davidson College and it was close and gave a place to place board games and sit by the fire. Love the lake. Peaceful.

Staying at this beautiful house on Lake Norman in Denver, NC, was nothing short of perfection. From the moment I booked the property to the day I checked out, the entire experience was seamless and enjoyable. The house itself was so stunning and well-maintained that it’s honestly difficult to put into words just how wonderful it was. Every corner of the property exuded comfort and care, making it a true retreat. The host deserves a special mention for their responsiveness; any question or concern I had was addressed promptly and thoroughly. Their clear communication and attentiveness made the entire process feel effortless, which is always a bonus when planning a getaway. The kayak was fun and relaxing. My wife had never been and she doesn't speak English. It turns out I don't speak Spanish when kayaks are about to tip over and I need to say "No te apoyes." Only downside: no nearby places to take an evening walk or grab some ice cream or souvenirs.

Margarets hospitality is beyond anything ive witnessed in my life. We stayed during hurricane Helene. Not only did she take care of every possible need in the beginning days before the hurricane, but when we escaped via helicopter and made it to her hometown she even offered up her own house for us to take refuge when all the hotels were booked and cooked dinner for us. Not saying you will have the same luxury, but this is the highest caliber person you could possibly do business with. The property has the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life and the house is so immaculate, there is nowhere I'd rather be in the midst of disaster or a relaxing vacation. I literally experienced both. I will be coming back with a quickness as soon as the town is rebuilt, and the property was very resilient and mostly undamaged through the brutal storm, the elevation allows for protection against any flash floods. But yes the house is incredible and hosts very attentive to needs

This lake house was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true escape. The house had everything we needed for a perfect family getaway—cozy, clean, and so thoughtfully stocked. But what really stole our hearts was the view. Watching the sun set over the water each evening, wrapped in a blanket with nothing but the sound of the lake and laughter in the background, was pure magic. We made beautiful memories here and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Highly recommended, we will be back! We also used Lake Effects for our boat rental, they were fantastic! It’s about an 18 minute trip back to the house on the water.

This beautiful house was not only close to a ton of local vineyards it was close to wonderful restaurants and just great to stay in and take in the views. The house was warm and welcoming. We all would love to come back!! Thank you for having us!!

Very nice newer mountain home with a great deck and view. The two king bedrooms (plus a bedroom with 2 twin beds) were definitely a bonus and the beds were comfy while on the firmer side. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of games and puzzles with a reading nook and table and chairs in the loft. The home is decorated thoughtfully, efficiently and tastefully. Decor is modern and not fussy and very clean. Janet was pleasant to deal with and the location is very close to Boone and lots of family friendly attractions like Mystery Hill and Tweetsie only minutes away. Close to shopping and good restaurants, too. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! Donna’s thoughtful care was evident in everywhere of the bnb. The bnb was clean and beautifully maintained. We felt welcome and care during our stay. Absolutely will stay here again!

Beautiful home and neighborhood! Very peaceful getaway. Family friendly. Easy to get to Blowing Rock through back of neighborhood. Comfy beds. Melanie is incredibly responsive and went above and beyond! Back deck was covered with leaves and twigs from recent wind and rain - she shipped us a leaf blower same day so we could easily clean it off and enjoy it! We will definitely be back!

Spacious, extremely clean, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable, with stylish furniture and every amenity you could possibly need. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, making meals easy, and the whole space felt like a home away from home. The outdoor area was a highlight—tons of yard space with cornhole, a fire pit , a pool, and multiple seating areas including a cozy deck setup and a fun garage hangout spot with a ping pong table and seating. It was private, peaceful, and overall perfect! Our host was amazing—friendly, responsive, and made everything completely hassle-free. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the entire experience was stress-free from start to finish. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Very cozy home on the lake. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t very cooperative but we enjoyed our time and the home. The inside of the home is very clean, spacious, and accommodating. The outside could have used a bit more cleaning, but it had been raining a lot and I’m sure that contributed to the dirt along the decks and outdoor furniture.
