Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Dora

We had a wonderful time at the Mermaid Cottage. Steve, Amy and their son were wonderful hosts. Steve was so easy to communicate with and immediately solved any issues that we had. We were very happy with the inside of the lovely cottage and totally enjoyed the front porch and beautiful backyard. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood especially to downtown Mt. Dora. The neighbors were extremely friendly and we got to know many of them. We highly recommend the Mermaid Cottage. Thank you Steve&Amy for a lovely vacation. Karen&Doug

This was the perfect place to stay. This home is beautifully decorated, and such a nice little quiet retreat. I felt like I was staying in a home that was showcased in a magazine. The beds are so comfy and the pool is serene. I had the most relaxing weekend ever, thank you Nicole!

This is our second stay here and our favorite by far!! We love coming to the lake with our boat but this house just adds the extra peaceful vibes. Clean and comfy and always a great stay!!!

Schamir’s place was perfect for our getaway with our 2 pups! The backyard right on the lake was very relaxing and peaceful! Also great that he’s big dog friendly, our pups really enjoyed it! We really enjoyed the location, 15 or less to Universal/Epic Universe. Also less than 25 to Disney. Right off the expressway as well which is nice. Quiet little neighborhood as well. Schamir was a great host, he provided us with an early check-in, as well as very responsive when I had a question about the place. The home was exactly as described from the photos, and included all amenities that were listed. And also very very clean! Overall, he could not have been any better, and we really appreciated him opening his home to us! We look forward to our next stay at this Orlando getaway ! Thanks Schamir!

We had an incredible stay at Gateway Galloway Ranch! Our whole friend group loved it—especially hanging out in the pool and playing games on the Switch. The space was comfortable, fun, and had everything we needed. Best of all, it was super close to our friend’s wedding venue, which made everything so convenient. Highly recommend!

The home is beautiful and has everything you need. The pool is amazing. Check in and out was easy and Dena gave me great advice for where to play pickleball. The neighbors were super friendly too!

Loved the place very comfortable and clean. My grandson loved forest and puddles. All my grand children and adult children loved spending our evening in the pool. Will definitely do it again. Michael was great very informative and we loved his decor. Thanks Michael you’re the best!

I can’t say enough about this place or the host!! It was way more than I ever expected. We were able to check in sooner than the original check in time. Dave was awesome with communication and periodically checked in to make sure everything was going good throughout our stay. Everything was well stocked in the house from the kitchen (including spices and other little stuff that you would normally have to run out and buy to make a meal) to the bathrooms. There is everything you would need for the pool also. Dave even thought about your furry friends by providing leashes/bowls and treats. The house was immaculate! All you needed to do was literally pack your bags. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to return to the villages in the winter time!

We loved our stay at Nicoleta's! Everything was very clean and exactly as described. The view was beautiful and truly the cherry on top of a perfect stay! We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area!

We had a wonderful time at André place! The apartment was clean, cozy, and in a fantastic location. The host was also incredibly communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Just a heads-up: the bedroom doesn’t have A/C, but the fan provided kept things comfortable for us. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

House is beautiful. We went on vacation as a group of 13. There was plenty of room to stretch out and we enjoyed all aspects of the house. The gated community is beautiful, but it does seem like most houses are rentals. Something to keep in mind. House was clean and welcoming. The only thing I would just want anyone to be aware of is the owner controls the temperature and prefers to keep it around 72 degrees. I do understand that it’s expensive to keep it lower, but we were there in June and it was over 90 degrees everyday. Coming in to and sleeping at 72 degrees was just still too hot. I did ask Paul to lower it because it was well over 72 when we got there and he was quickly responsive and lowered it to about 72 and he also had a technician come add Freon. For me it was still too warm, but we didn’t want to be extra pushy. Just be aware if you are someone that prefers it cooler. Otherwise the house and location were perfect.

I have stayed in the Champions Gate many times. This house was by far the nicest of those that I have stayed in. It was well stocked, clean, and the pool area was very nice and relaxing with a large couch sectional and dinner table. The game room was fun as well and the kids were in there every day. When we arrived the pool tech was there and he advised us that the pool and hot tub pump had to be replaced and wouldn't happen till the next day. Remarkably he came back that evening and fixed the pump. We did not get to enjoy the pool and HT until very late that day but it was fixed. My only complaint was the grill rental. I have NEVER had to rent a grill and go get a gas tank filled. Full grill tanks last a very long time so during a 7 night stay you are giving the rental company a full tank back that you paid for. Who has time for this when on vacation. We paid for the grill rental and never got to use it. Suggestion, charge a bit more and make it easy for the vacationers.

The Clara Cottage is a spacious, clean and well decorated property. It is a 20 minute walk to downtown Mt Dora and all Mt Dora has to offer. We have stayed in Mt Dora many times, for the local stores, cuisine and the beautiful water ways. Talia and Gabi were both very responsive & helpful with any queries we had. We were not disappointed with this cottage or its location and I would recommend it to future guests. Thank you for a great stay. Louise & Ian. UK.

Beautiful little home with a little antique charm located just outside of the city. The home is fully stocked with everything you may need if you want to stay and cook, extra pillows, linens, ect. Worth noting ...there is an adorable private patio off the back I must have missed in the pictures, a delightful surprise. Parking was easy. Only down fall is, there is only one bathroom sadly and the TV in the master has no signal/cable, so no tv in bed. I called and left a message re: on the number provided on the check-in, with no response. This wasn't a big deal since we were hardly there.

Absolutely great place, experience and communication. We had a great time. It was easy, clean, and peaceful. If I go back to that area I would definitely love to stay longer. Thank you Sarah, you were incredible.

We had an amazing stay at Linda’s. Her correspondence was quick, and she was very pleasant and accommodating. The guest house was nothing short of beautiful. Very tastefully decorated, clean, and well equipped. The bed is soooo comfortable! Highly recommend! Will definitely stay again if we get back to Mount Dora.

This house was beautiful and well taken care of. You can tell the owner loves the home and wants to make sure it is taken care of even when she’s not there. Lots of rules when staying here but we didn’t mind because it meant the same standards were being met by all guests. Loved watching the sunrise on the lake every morning! Couldn’t have asked for more!

Absolutely great stay! What a cool and unique house in a fun town. We really enjoyed our low key vacation of walking, shopping and eating our way through Mount Dora. The house was super close to everything and had extra touches that made it special. Would visit again!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The house was beautiful, waking up to the stunning lakeview in morning was truly a highlight. The amenities were exceptional, especially the kayaking. The sandy areas were perfect for relaxation, and the kids took full advantage of it! Made memories around the bonfire in the evening, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. The host was welcoming and provided everything we needed for a fantastic vacation. Truly a peaceful gateway!
