Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Almanor

We had an absolute fantastic time at this Airbnb. The space is spotless and exactly as Debbie described. Debbie was responsive, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that we have everything that we needed. She made the experience extra special. I was so thankful for the list of restaurants and things to do in the area. Our family would love to return and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, they’ll not be disappointed. Debbie is truly are a Super host!

The cabin is way cuter in person -- picture don't give it justice. It was a wonderful cabin and everything you might need was there. The woodwork was amazing and the small screen porch was really nice. Shanti's dad was very welcoming and super helpful. It is a perfect location for a Quincy visit. Thank you -- we will be back! We were a group of 5 college friends in the area for a wedding and we felt like we lucked out with this peaceful and cozy place! The house was well appointed in general and the kitchen was completely stocked. The stream was a little too cold for us to enjoy the swimming hole but in the summer, it would be a must! Ember and her family were extremely helpful and friendly as were their two beautiful Golden Retrievers!

What an absolute gem! The house is nestled right at the edge of town, surrounded by trees, with the sound of the creek nearby and mountain views that made every morning wonderfull. The interior is newly renovated and super cosy, it had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to great Wi-Fi and comfy beds. Christal was a fantastic host, everything was seamless and thoughtfully arranged. Can’t recommend this place enough if you're looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Patti was a wonderful host! The place and location were both excellent. It’s hard to put into words how lovely it was to stay at Patti’s home. Whether you're a large family, a small group, or a couple looking for a peaceful getaway, this house is perfect. My family had an amazing time—my sons and I had great luck fishing, while the girls enjoyed nature walks and the lake. We all had a blast with water activities like paddleboarding, kayaking, and boating. The deck was a beautiful spot for both our morning breakfasts and evening dinners. The private boat ramp and recreation area were fantastic perks, and the town Chester is just 10 minutes away. The nearby golf course is beautiful, and the house itself is well-shaded with a spacious open floor plan. Thanks again Patti, Dustin and family

We just got married at Bailey creek this past weekend, and this home was our home base for getting ready, photos, and lunch for our bridal party! This home is stunning, clean, and perfect for what we needed.

Hosts were great! And the support staff on-site were fantastic as well. Very well prepared and everything was as-described in the listing. Positive experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the tiny home. The location was perfect for visiting Lassen Volcanic Park and was walking distance to all of the local restaurants in Chester. We enjoyed playing some mini golf and relaxing in the back yard after a long day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The one-bedroom unit is even better than it looks in the photos—perfectly sized for a couple, very clean, and well maintained. The air conditioning was a huge plus during the hot days. The host was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our late check-out, which we really appreciated.

We over coming here. The house is comfortable and easy to relax in. So many sweet touches. We have been here for two holidays now and the place always it decorated up so cute!The area is wonderful too and the local people are sweet and kind. oh this is also our dog's favorite place to come.

You book this house for the location, the people you bring with you, and the friendly folks who live in this small town. There is so much to do in these valleys. We swam, hiked, cycled, offroaded, and learned the history of the town and its people. We grilled out with meat we bought from the owners, watched our niece go out for a pony ride in the hay fields (generous hosts!), and spent our down time watching farm life from the porch. At the end of the day we lit a fire in the woodstove and slept well. The beds are comfortable and the hosts are responsive. This house is not going to be featured in Sunset magazine. It's an old farmhouse on a working ranch, and I can understand that housework and ranchwork are time consuming. There's just not time for everything. But everything you need to work well does. We had a great trip and look forward to visiting again. If you're uncomfortable with an odd insect or have strong preferences for sleek modern design, you may want to look elsewhere.

The place was great, even bigger than it looks in the listing. The upstairs had the kitchen and primary bedroom plus bathroom and sitting area. The downstairs had the game room, 2 more bedrooms, and another sitting area. The game room was really large, it was a finished 2 car garage, so had a full-sized pool table and a full-sized ping pong table as well as TV and some other games--not the mini versions that you get sometimes. Everything was really clean and plenty of bedding for the 5 beds we used. The location was very central, about 15 minutes to golf and boating at the lake, and under an hour to Lassen Volcanic National Park. I thought it was a great place to stay to visit both the lake and the park.

My family stayed the weekend at Rachel’s place. It was perfect. Quiet mountain setting with a stream running through the property.Lots for kids to do. Well equipped house. Will stay again.

Loved this rental. It was perfect for our whole family including our dog. It was a safe neighboorhood and not completely isolated which we liked. The hot tub was perfect to soak in after playing in the snow. We have school aged children so we were able to let them play outside with our supervision and build snowman and have snowball fights. The golf course was a short distance so we were able to take several of the sleds Carolyn had for us and found a nice hill the kids were able to sled down for several hours. Overall great place and will visit again.

While Rachelle was totally a kind and responsive host, I do think this listing should include more for the price you pay. The driveway from the road to the main home ends with long tall itchy grass that doesn't necessarily easily creat a path to get to the tent. Even with Rachelle's instruction, I wasn't able to find the dedicated parking spot due to the grass overgrowth. The location is very much so serene with birds chirping and creek sounds, however, I will say the tent is very hot in the afternoon to evening hour. Additionally, the furniture inside is in front of most of the zip vents, and the pieces arent really helpful but more so blocks usage. I would recommend Rachelle add a fan for summer months, as we felt very hot but were also warned the mosquito/bug situation was fairly intense. Because of this, we felt a bit stuck in the tent - perhaps adding a bug net to extend the outdoor space safely would also create a better stay. I expected more of a glamping feel, this wasn't it.

Beautiful house and location. Kitchen was best stocked we’ve stayed in. Furniture was comfortable and plenty of room for everyone. Very happy and would definitely stay again.
