we were enchanted by the location of the house in a quiet little bay almost by the sea. The house is small and simple, but with everything you need for cooking and linens. In the parish of Santo Amaro there is a delicious, very well-stocked food where you can also have breakfast. Several hiking trails and beaches nearby. The atmosphere is simply magical, with the waves and birds coming out at sunset! I hope I can come back!

We loved our stay by the water on Pico island. The house has great amenities and is comfortable for two people. We cooked one dinner and had enough basic ingredients to use (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar) as well as pots and utensils. The best part was the lovely welcome package with coffee, milk, bread, fruit, cheese and jam! It was so delicious and was perfect for fresh breakfast. The host was very friendly and communicated very well and there was a great house manual which helped answer our questions. The weather was not great during our stay but we did walk down to swim and it was not far and very nice to have the natural pool. We wish we could have gotten more use out of the beautiful patio and outdoor fireplace. You definitely need a car. We found the drive coming in a bit steep but got used to it and there were not many cars around. It was a very enjoyable stay!
