Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Laikipia County

Wizzy and John’s cabin was fantastic! We traveled with kids (10, 7, and 3), and they had plenty to keep them entertained within the compound, especially with the stables right next to the A-frame cabin. We also enjoyed a walk to the Mau Mau cave with Simon, the guide, who was incredible. Wizzy was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and quick to address a minor issue with hot water and power, which was resolved . Overall, we had a great experience, and my kids even rated it their second favorite holiday! I’d definitely return.

We were warmly received, a hot bowl of butternut soup included 😁. The place felt homely and plenty of space all around. Our host was extremely helpful and detail oriented leaving us with a very positive experience. Did I mention there's a kitchen garden!

The Landing is an exquisite haven of tranquility and privacy. The photos simply cannot capture its true beauty. From the cottage, you’re treated to stunning views of Mt. Kenya, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The place was clean and thoughtfully prepared for our stay. I enjoyed a truly wonderful weekend and will definetly return. Anne was incredibly responsive and accommodating, addressing all our needs seamlessly. The staff was also exceptionally helpful, ensuring that every request was met. A beautiful place for sure and worth the experience.

Ol jorok cabins exceeded all our expectations and delivered an unforgettable experience! From the very beginning, Sara went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. When we encountered car troubles on our way, she stepped in immediately, sending assistance and ensuring we were well taken care of. Her communication was flawless throughout. The cabins themselves are simply stunning—far better than the photos! The ambiance is serene and inviting, truly a home away from home. Surrounded by fresh air and absolute tranquility, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I can’t wait to return and will wholeheartedly recommend Ol Jorok Cabins to family and friends as the ideal getaway spot. A special mention goes to Peter, the chef recommended by Sara—he was absolutely incredible! Every meal was a delight, with top-notch flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed each day. I had a great stay at 40 footer. The host was super helpful and checked in with us to ensure a smooth check in. The property is amazing with a thoughtful and very homely touch, and having a chef helped us relax while getting fed 😁 The views of Mount Kenya are breathtaking so I will definitely be back to relax. Definitely worth coming back again and again!

Elizabeth’s place was AMAZING! The place is much better than the photos. Extremely clean, safe and very well taken care of. You have a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to be ready to cook. Also in this place is where l had the best hot shower so far. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stop at Nanyuki and visit mount Kenya & Ngare Ndare Forest. 100% recommend 💚

Ben's place is paradise. I joked to him that his place is the Eden. We got there late; the place was very ready for us. A crackling fire set the warmth. It felt like a second honeymoon. I went to paradise and never wanted to leave.

I would highly recommend My Time Cottage. The host is amazing and responds in time. She was very helpful, and it was an easy decision for me to stay there. I love that, as a guest, you get free access to Sarova Maiyan. For me, this is the easiest 5-star that I have given to a listing.
