Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Fully equipped integrated kitchen (ceramic hob, fridge with freezer, electric oven, etc.). A bedroom equipped with a 160 x 200 bed + baby cot (baby kit). Living room area with sofa bed 140 x 190. With an area of 75 square meters, it is composed of a large living room with open kitchen, sitting area with sofa bed, wood-burning stove..., and upstairs a large bedroom with bathroom. Small extra sofa bed in the bedroom if needed Overlooking the gardens and pool, you have direct access to the Esplanade du Tilleul for outdoor dining, and the rest of the gardens, with direct access to the forest.

Between Lablachère and Les Vans, the farmhouse is a former silk factory, the new "Les Cyprès" cottage (rated 4*, 53 m2), located at the back of the building, enjoys a large private terrace. This preserved environment will offer you space, charm and serenity for a quiet holiday. The garden unfolds at the front of the farmhouse on two levels, the lower part houses a swimming pool (salt water) of 8 x 4 m (to be shared).
