“We had a great stay at Lorena's place. We made use of the full kitchen and outdoor sitting area. We enjoyed walking around the town and exploring the surrounding area. There were some minor issues with the water heater and Lorena was extremely generous and communicative with it all. I would highly recommend staying here.”
Ron the realtor offers one of La Grande's favorite places to stay. Across the street from Eastern Oregon University. This cozy upstairs one bedroom apartment with private entrance has all you will need. One block away from picnic area and Birnie City Park . Walking distance to downtown La Grande and dining. You have a small hot plate, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Please don't fry fish!! Classic VHS/DVD movies provided!
“The apartment looks just like the photos and is very clean. There is a Keurig machine, regular coffee maker and electric kettle; big fridge and microwave. All the kitchen things you need. The bathroom was clean and has a tub and shower, soap, towels. The windows have screens, so you can open them for the fresh Eastern Oregon air. It's in a very nice and quiet part of town with easy parking out front. The apartment is across the street from the university baseball field and is in a great neighborhood for walking. The front deck has a wonderful clear view of the sunrise over the mountains, which was beautiful every morning.”
We are located about 23 miles out of La Grande, Oregon, in the northern part of the Grande Rhonde Valley on beautiful Pumpkin Ridge. We have 15 acres, and our studio apartment “the Sanctuary “ is above our garage. We live in a wooded area, and there are great trails and country roads for hiking, long walks., and biking. The studio has a fully equipped kitchen and a barbecue grill out on the deck. It is very quiet and peaceful here. A great place to relax and unwind. A writers paradise.
“The space is adorable and has everything you might need including a few goodies provided by the hosts, dishes, cookware, cleaning supplies, etc. There is no wifi but our cell signals worked well enough for the occasional google search (verizon and US cellular). The room comes with a blu-ray player so we rented a few dvds from redbox in the LaGrande Walmart and had a little movie and game night. The hosts have great recommendations on local trails and there is the local Growiser natural preserve which is cute and quirky and provides some easy trails for walking. The only thing that we had some difficulty getting used to was disposing of TP in the trash instead of the toilet due to the septic system but we got it figured out.”
