This rustic home situated in a secluded valley in Montserrat National Park, 60km from Barcelona was built after the Napoleonic wars. The legend has it that it was built with money stolen from the corpses of the defeated French soldiers after the battle of El Bruc. I rebuilt the house from a near ruin, respecting the original structure in 1992. I have decorated it with a notable and very personal collection of art. There is a picturesque view from every window.

It's on the ground floor of the house, it has a porch with hammocks, it's very nice, the bathroom is full and the bed is very large, the mini kitchen is complete. The pool is salt water. The pool is shared with other guests. It's a house with views. and it's just for couples. I don't allow parties. Montserrat is very close and Barcelona is 50 km away

A lovely, quirky home full of fascinating artifacts. David is great at keeping in touch. The house is spacious and the garden is pleasant. There is a good bakery / café/ pub just over the square and a good supermarket just a bit further. The walk to the monestry (recommended by David) was challenging but made an amazing day (two hours each way).

Toni helped us at all times to facilitate the time of arrival and departure by matching our schedules. The place is very nice, easy to access and easy to park. It's a super quiet area, we slept like a log. In addition to the beds and pillows, the sheets are super comfortable. Entire house was super clean. The kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped. We have not lacked anything. The views of the beautiful Monserrat mountains. We'll be back!
