Woorabinda Cottage Lauriston

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved our weekend away in Julie and Andrew’s cabin, the only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer. It was the perfect cabin to spend a wet and wintery weekend. We had everything we needed, a super comfortable bed and were warm and cozy in front of the fire. We had a lovely guided tour around the property with Julie , Andrew , Jasper and Bella . We can’t wait to visit again.

"Le Palmier on Piper"

AlyciaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic stay at Karl & Samara’s place in Kyneton! The location of this Airbnb couldn’t have been better - just a short walk to all the best shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. It made exploring the town so easy and enjoyable. The area had a great vibe and felt safe and welcoming. We loved being able to stroll out for coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening without needing to drive. Highly recommend this spot if you want to experience the best of Kyneton right at your doorstep!

Fryers Hut

Beautiful place, really well appointed. Was concerned I would be cold in country Victoria in winter but the place was warm and well heated. I communicated I would be arriving after dark and Carla had turned on lights and the heating for me. Excellent stay. Nothing to improve. Well done.

Your guide to Kyneton

All About Kyneton

Kyneton is a historical town nestled within Victoria’s beautiful Macedon Ranges, around 90-minutes north of Melbourne. In recent years the town has become renowned as Victoria’s foremost country destination for good food and wine, with top rated restaurants dotted throughout the town centre and highly regarded wineries on the town’s doorstep. It’s not just the restaurants that attract the foodies. The cafes, bakeries, and artisan stores are delivering quality food and products using the area’s abundant supply of fresh produce.

Kyneton is also a creative hotspot boasting several art galleries, antique stores and quirky craft and book shops full of unique items and gifts. The town also features some of the finest Bluestone buildings in Australia, which date back to Victoria’s famous Gold Rush era, when Kyneton was an important town on the road to the Goldfields. You can gain insight into the period with a visit to the Kyneton Museum, which houses many historical artefacts from the Gold Rush.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Kyneton

If there was a best time to visit Kyneton, it would probably be in the spring months of September to November, when the days are pleasantly sunny and mild. In September, the Daffodil and Arts Festival takes over the town with ten days of events including art exhibitions, a flower show, and farmers markets. The Kyneton Agricultural Show in November also provides family fun with rides, displays, competitions, and entertainment. The summer months of December to February are also a great time to visit, but the weather can get hot, so pack a hat and sunscreen. And for those who enjoy putting on the layers and curling up by the fire, Kyneton in winter provides the perfect setting. Whenever you decide to visit, there is an excellent range of Kyneton accommodation options available to suit all tastes and budgets.
