Waipiʻo Lodge - Kalo Room

NicoleRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had a very pleasent stay at the house from Greg and his family. The guest accommodation was nicely prepared, I slept very well in that comfortable bed. I enjoyed the view to the ocean standing in the garden. Greg offered me to pick some oranges from his trees and I was lucky to do my loundery during my stay. Close by are lovely towns and hikes. I expended my stay for one night. Thanks.

House sit ( Kitty feed) /Whale watching/snorkeling

JuliaRating, 5 stars64 months ago
Beautiful oasis with a great beach to walk down to. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we loved that beach! It was so peaceful and the waves were often mellow. It is a bit of a drive into Kona, about 45 minutes. There is a lot to do near the house but to get to white sandy beaches you have to go about 1.25 hours away. The house was great. Clean and open. Neighbors are loud at times but mostly quiet. When they are loud though it is really loud. Overall lovely place and great value.

Kona Joe Coffee #1

KatieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amazing place that is exactly as pictured! We arrived at night and it was a little hard to find. There aren’t lights around so be aware of that if you are arriving at night. Also, it’s on a slant and you can only enter from the back door so you walk over mud and grass to get to the door. It can be a bit tricky and messy. If you aren’t ok with a few bugs (you are surrounded by beautiful nature), this place might not be for you. The place was clean and the view to wake up to was absolutely gorgeous! So peaceful. A unique place to stay! Mahalo!

Illuminated Garden Studio

TreyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Staying at the Illuminated Studio was a phenomenal experience. I spent a week there and I loved every minute. It is off the grid with no WiFi and a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. The hosts do live on the property with their extremely well behaved, fun children as well as two other people, yet this still felt extremely private for me. The outdoor shower was awesome as was falling asleep listening to the nature sounds. This is in a more remote, local part of the island and the hosts will truly share their aloha with you and you will have an experience that is most memorable. Aloha.

*New* Cozy Tiny Home near Volcano

LisaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Loved our tiny home experience. Andrew was very communicative and helpful. He gave great directions and local information. The house was immaculate when we arrived. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. We arrived late - the home is a little tricky to get into in the dark as there are no lights and some big potholes. A good add on would be darker/thicker curtains. Would highly recommend!

Summer Special Halemanu Coastal Jungle Eco-Retreat

VladislavRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Thank you Shanna and Molly for such a pleasant and magical stay! We found a true treasure on the Island that we enjoyed so much! It is a very cozy little house that has everything you need. It feels very different than any other places I stayed at. Here you feel the nature. You feel like you are a part of it: from a very beautiful and unique garden to a chorus of singing birds at night. The sky is so bright at night that you can clearly see all the stars. If I ever got back to the Island, without any doubt I would consider Shanna’s place! My personal advice: please don’t fly to Kona if you are staying here 😹 better book a flight to Hilo to save yourself a lot of time. Otherwise you will find yourself driving all day long (like I did lol) if you decide to explore the west side of the Island. Although, it still takes you about 50 min just to get to Hilo.
