Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period. It was selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and was built in 1931 in this town, where lacquerware shops are still lined up. Limited to one group per day without meals, you can use the entire house. I think the charm of Hirasawa is the unforgettable beauty and abundance. It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in an old house in the valley of the mountains, so natural creatures may come in during the warmer months. The 93-year-old building is not polished in detail. After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. This is a lodge that rents a new building to a group of people in 2022. Accommodation fee included with Airbie fee. About equipment and equipment Heating is available on all floors on the 1st floor. Good access to Shimosuwa Station! We renovated an 80-year-old Japanese house into a traditional and clean space. (New open in 2023!) You can spend a comfortable time by renting the entire building. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.

Sanson Terrace "off-grid tiny cottage"

In Ohinata, Sakuho-town, Nagano-pref. We built a small cottage at a mountain side of the natural woodland which separated for a while from the colony. The time flows graceful here, while the interval of farm labor or works in the mountain. It is a special time to have Coffee or Beer while looking at Mt. Morai on the other side. You can spend time, being surrounded by nature... reading books slowly, taking a walk the mountain, listening songs of birds while lie on a hammock in the forest.
