Historically, Poliani has recorded up to this day more than 45 Byzantine temples while the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary survives from the Byzantine period with remarkable frescoes of the 12th century.

The beach is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Kindly follow any posted instructions regarding turtle nest protection. Note that our house does not have access by car (parking is on the main street, 350 meters from the house). Take this into consideration when bringing food and personal belongings
