Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Knox County

We absolutely loved this house! If you have young children, this would be the most amazing place on earth to stay---so many wonderful touches like a fully equipped play kitchen, an indoor swing, a huge library of picture books, lots of wooden animals---so incredible! Liz was so sweet and friendly and kind, and our early morning time with the goats was something we will never forget! Just a fantastic experience.

This house worked out great for us. Had everything we needed and as they said it was 5 minutes from the restaurants, museums and shops of downtown Rockland. In the other direction are the lighthouses and fishing villages of the midcoast. The unexpected bonus was the view. We could watch the sunrise over the bay from the living room, yard, or down the hill by the water. We could also see the Rockland breakwater light in the distance. As dog owners we appreciated having clean floors throughout the house instead of suspect carpets, and plenty of yard to take care of business.

We had the most amazing stay at this gorgeous property. The owners were super helpful and friendly and gave us lots of local recommendations. They gave us a welcome basket too which was a lovely touch. We would love to come back again one day.

A beautiful stand-alone building in a beautiful property. Walk to Oyster River in the winter was amazingly invigorating. The house is deceivingly huge, charming and well equipped. Just outside of Thomaston, it feels secluded and very peaceful

Had a beautiful stay for Easter! The views are gorgeous and Annie’s property had everything we needed to cook for our family! Only 20 minutes to Camden and had great restaurants and shops near by. Enjoyed our stay!

Great location, easy walk into town. Lovely place. on arrival had an issue with heat but Melanie responded quickly and we were able to rectify the problem quickly. Would definitely stay again. The dog enjoyed also!

Very charming place on a quiet road just one block from main street. Clean and well kept with comfortable bed and furniture. friendly and responsive hosts at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend to family and friends

I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

This was our third stay at Pam’s place. Her place is clean, private and quiet. The bed is super comfortable and the apartment has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Pam is always responsive and available for questions.

This is run by a company that is remote, not on site and therefore not familiar with the seasonal changes in terms of closures and what is actually available at a particular time of year.

My partner and I have been staying at Penelope's place now for 4 years and we're always so happy to be there. The views truly are breathtaking, and the apartment is so cozy! Penelope is an absolute treasure of a human being as well. This is a hidden gem in Rockport and you owe it to yourself to stay there!

We had a great time. The loft was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Each bedroom has it's own nicely sized tv. Beds were comfortable. Very clean place. Really nice living room space with comfortable seating. Nice kitchenette. I loved the fact that there is a full bathroom and a half bath so that my companion and I weren't fighting for a bathroom. The only reason I gave 4 stars for how easy to find and get into was my fault for getting there after dark. There isn't a whole lot of street lighting and the building is set back from the road. In the day, we would have located it right away, but in the dark it was a challenge. I had to text Valerie a couple of times to ask a question or two and she communicated in a very timely manner and was super easy to work with. The location of the building is perfect if you want to travel up and down the coast. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

This was the second time we have stayed at Spring and David's, and we would stay there again. The apartment is comfortable, and it's obvious that Spring and David enjoy having guests. They went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two-week stay. Great location with quick and easy access to Belfast, Lincolnville, Camden and Rockport. On a private road for a very quiet, peaceful stay. Clean, comfortable and very well provisioned. I was even able to bake cookies for my daughter and son-in-law!

We really enjoyed this cozy garage apartment! I love owls, so that was a bonus. The privacy offered by the blinds was nice (rare to find in an AirBnb). Comfy sofa, ample towels and all around great! Sadly, now that AirBnb has voiced its support for DOGE, I will likely no longer use to book, but I’d stay again.

This is a great place but warning*** If you are traveling with anyone that’s elderly or has any mobile impairment(walking), do NOT rent this place is loaded with stairs. I loved it but my mother had a hard time with the stairs and the oversize step into the bathroom. Great location. Grew up in Camden during the summer months as a child and still love returning twice a year. Looking forward to my return.

The location and size of the unit for our needs was perfect. The staff was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly.

Laurie was super communicative and the condo was GREAT! Had view of water, was clean and lots of space. Lots to do on the property with kids /teens: basketball court, volleyball, tennis, golf and more. The weather was not terrific, but between the heated pool, the activities and the closeness to Camden, there was lots to do.

We enjoyed staying in the Rockland/Rockport area, it’s a great spot. Laurie is very communicative and the condo is was exactly as expected.
